Love that remix. Is this the first time it's been made available in digital format?

There was a debate on the forum while ago about whether or not it was ever available digitally, one user claimed to have bought an mp3 of it from the Skam webstore many years ago before it was taken down. The user uploaded it and I downloaded it. I have it along with a vinyl rip and there's definitely a difference between the two.

the ending sh101 is true bliss. like a tropical island. Surfaise always seemed similar to the ATP track 2 (unknown)

cant wait to hear a quality version of the track finally

Here is the link to the tape: https://bitphalanx.bandcamp.com/album/m ... ry-edition

Around $25 (shipping included) for a cassette tape... I wish I could just pay for the lossless track instead of the whole thing.

Just an observation... the various mp3s & FLACS floating around have a duration of between 6:09 and 6:13, depending on the rip I guess. The artwork on bandcamp, however, lists it as 6:43. A mistake?

I see that - Good eye! I wonder if there's a longer outtro or something that was never heard before?

It'll be interesting to analyze it after this releases in a few days... Unless it is a mistake, and the track length is shorter than listed.

I bought the Surfaise mp3 320 download from the bleep store a few years back. It wasn't available in any other format. About 6 months later it disappeared from "my downloads" on the bleep website.

The track is indeed 6:43, so the time listed on the artwork is correct. Anyone know what the extra time consists of? I don't have an mp3 of the original... The song sounds great though! :)

Had a listen on the band camp page, and it's the playback speed that makes the difference. The older vinyl rips I've heard are recorded faster (and about 2/3 semitone higher in pitch).

Not only that, the actual digital release (ie - the non-vinyl version available on the Skam website store in the mid 2000s) was 6:11 and faster than the 2019 remaster. So it wasn't just the vinyl rips that were recorded too fast - the original master Skam had was that way as well. That's the version I've been living with for the last 15-ish years so this slower version is taking some getting used to, though I presume this new remaster is the way BOC originally intended it to be.

Is there a possibility that this release (for whatever reason) features a slightly slowed mix?
I am 50/50 on whether this is the intended speed for the track, although Skam have been known to have some minor issues in terms of final releases. Hi Scores originally had its channels flipped left and right before the 2014 re-release. I have to say that I prefer it with its channels reversed, though, so perhaps I am perpetually biased in favor of the "original"

Nothing better than slowing Surfaise down so I can enjoy it longer. I'll take what I can get XD

Just got a message back from Bit- Phalanx enquiring if the Boards remix will be available to buy separately.

"There will be a full commercial release of the deluxe Marion album soon. Michael's Musik Aus Strom label will be handling the digital release. Bit-Phalanx is handling the Physical. So that is all we are selling from our own bandcamp."

Going by this it seems we won't have to wait too long before the track is available to buy online.

Not sure if everyone is aware if this, but I just found out the Surfaise remix is available for streaming too. Not sure why I just found it, since I searched for it a few weeks ago and didn't see it before.

Awww yes I should try this... would be cool if the vinyl version was 45rpm so i could just enjoy it a lower vinyl speed
