How is this person doing this?

Stumbled across a youtube channel named Hell Interface. They've uploaded a couple of Geogaddi tracks with and without isolated vocals. Anyone know how this can be done with such clarity?

Could be a couple of ways. The old school way to isolate vocals was by ignoring/keeping the center channel in a stereo mix. You can do that in any audio editing app like audacity or even just pulling the headphone lead out half way

But lately people have been using an AI based tool called "Spleeter" which separates a track into different instrument stems. May not be that exact one, may be something else based off the idea.

Or, they have the original sample! (But if they did, they'd also probably know who did the unnamed track in societas)

There are plugins that can do this. I believe there's one from iZotope that can split out different parts of a track.

It's easier to isolate things than take them away from a mix but if you isolate something first that you want to take away you can add the exact same thing back in and it cancels the OG out (phase cancellation) If you're on point you can do amazing things with this.
Usually when you take away things that are well in the mix you'll take away frequencies from other instruments in that range too but in this instance there is enough left for us to think that he's literally just whipped out the bits they didn't want. There will be loads more gone with it that adds to the whole texture of the track but we don't notice that in isolation.
^^^ correct, there are plugins that are geared to do this sort of thing so in some ways it's really easy if you spend the time tweaking and listening hard.
