I was looking for some information on the Soylent Night track (couldnt find any with search) and this seems to be the right place to ask.
Does this track contain a reference (or sample), melody wise, to an existing track known around this particular christmas theme, or is the melody just crafted by BOC themselves?
It was one of the first tracks i've heard of them, accidently forgotten and rediscovered recently
Hello and welcome. From what I can decipher from just listening (I haven't done any research myself), you can hear a slowed down version of Silent Night that comes in at about 1:07 or so. It's kinda creepy and I like it. I'm not sure if there are any other references to the holidays, but buy a copy and give it to your sweet deary at Xmas time.
