Another great one. I wouldn't want to ruin your dish here, since i don't have any clue on how to make good music. I just love to listen to it :') The one thing that i noticed is that the synth from the beginning is playing throughout the whole track. That's probably on purpose but maybe if you give other instruments (drums or the other synth / bass) some room here and there, it could maybe make things more interesting? I recently noticed that the ambient/downtempo music that i enjoy the most, has almost always some unique sound in it that doesn't show up in the rest of the track. Maybe that together with the above mentioned breathing room of the synthline could help you out. lol im not sure if this makes any sense or if it could help.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I think you're definitely right. Honestly I have that problem in pretty much all my songs. I always have a really hard time coming up with a complimentary verse to switch to and usually end up just repeating the same main chord progression throughout. I'm gonna work on coming up with a bridge or something to make it not so repetitive. Also, don't sell yourself short. I checked out a few of your tunes and really dig it! Especially the one with the Parks Canada 1984 sample. I like the sort of retro lo-fi vibe you have going on. Definitely reminiscent of Twoism. Anyways, thanks again for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

I seem to have real bad luck with analog recording equipment. That Tascam broke down just days after purchasing it... I had another porta before (Yamaha) and it also broke down. Always strange problems too. The Yamaha started buzzing in the DBX of track 2 and the Tascam started making a clicking noise from the line out. I have now bought a Fostex R8, which I hope won't be a problem. Sometimes I want to quit analog, but I know I can't.

Think the Tascam could have a bad solder joint?

If you ever decide to part ways with it I might be interested!

Unfortunately I have already returned it to the seller for a refund. Now after looking a bit online it could just have been a bad ground connection at the head. I'm sure he'll put it up on ebay again though, maybe for a lower price. steph2berg on ebay.

I'm working on a song that a label asked me to make and is my first time creating something with the intent of it going on a proper label. If anyone would like to give some feedback, please slide into my DMs.

A friend lent me this beauty and I am testing it, doing some 4 channel mixdowns. It blends like... something that blends nice. Best digital mixer I've tried.

Another one which needs a bit of cutting. Drags on a bit too long.
