I don't know if a lot people here listen to him, but this one hit me hard. Ambient 2, the Pearl, and In the Mist were all soundtracks to some difficult times in my life. I'm sorry I was never able to see the man live.

Ah man, that is a bummer. He did some amazing work. Flowered Knife Shadows is a classic track.

He was very much my gateway to both ambient and modern classical. Listened to The Moon and the Melodies (the first thing I heard by him) last night in tribute. Saving The White Arcades (my favourite) for later today.

That's really sad to hear, I've Ambient 2, The Pearl and some albums he did with John Foxx at they're all beautiful stuff and still regular listens for me.
