there was nothing wrong with how i used the word.
the only thing truly wrong here is adults not being able to handle reality.
if you were offended by me saying "retarded" i suggest exploring the world of comedy a little more.

It's a word that people get called while they're having the shit beaten out of them for being different. It brings up a lot of painful memories for people. Is it really the sort of thing that you need to use in a sentence? Is there another way you could say the same thing without using a word that's associated with abuse for so many people?
Everyone makes mistakes and gets corrected. Maturity is taking it in stride and changing your behavior. That's something we can all respect. Saying "fuck you, I don't care if this hurts people, I'm going to keep saying this word just because I can and I'm going to walk away when you talk to me about it" is hard to respect.
If you want to leave a community because people are expressing how they feel about your choice of words, that's your prerogative.
