Lord of Circles by Paneye
Hello,
It's been a long while now, but I thought I'd stop by and post my new album:
Lord of Circles
It's an acoustic guitar-heavy, shoe-gazey album. There are some BoC influences as always, particularly in the middle section of the album. The album itself is about a relationship I had that fell apart.
For those of you who might remember me, I'm an old affiliate of Eric Watson from Lunar Testing Lab's Secret Station label.
I've since released a few albums over the years on Josh Roger's Illuminated Paths label, that has released some good stuff from Power Pill Fist amongst others.
I'd appreciate any feedback.
I hope you're all keeping well.

Listening now. Promising start!
EDIT: enjoying this a lot. A touch of Elliot Smith / Mark Linkous to it if you don't mind me saying.
No bad thing whatsoever. Impressive.

Thanks Mexicola.
Those aren't artists I'm familiar with, but I'll be sure to check them out.

The first part is too acoustic & singer/songwriter stuff for my liking. Nevertheless I sense the quality in there. It gets more interesting for me from song 6 and on where electronics get introduced into the album. Sounds like you tried to let some of the electronic sound acoustic as well and let them slowly take over the middle part of the album, not sure if I make sense? That part is the most interesting for me.
The last track of the album is pure bliss! What an adventure

Thanks Aesthetics. Glad you enjoyed the electronic-focused middle section. I was a bit worried that it didn't blend in well with the acoustic stuff, so I gradually introduce it from track 6 onwards.
I've got 2 musical sides - psych folk/singer songwriter and electronic ambient. I've always tried to marry the 2 together throughout my musical journey.
I'm glad you like the last song Nilum. That was definitely a journey to make, too.

Got myself the record too.
Really lovely stuff in here.
Love the fact that its acoustic/electronic.
As much as i love electronic music nothing tops the sound of a nice acoustic/electric guitar.
This one will stay with me forever i'm sure.
