When the band finds out about fake accounts they either take control of them or shut them down quickly. There was a small fan-run Myspace page back in like 2010 that they took over as soon as they found it.

This one has been up since 2011 untouched. Combined with the fact that the account was started on the same day the Nuevas Semillas video was uploaded to the known legit YouTube page, this account was at least started by them.

It's technically possible that they could have been hacked, but that seems really unlikely. Normally hacked accounts just spam ads and whatnot. They would have had to be hacked by a fan with an extensive knowledge of their history, style, and fan community... For the purpose of what? Posting a single video? I don't buy it at all.

That leaves option 3, they're fucking with us. And pretty much everything they've done under the Hell Interface name has been bizarre shit like this, so it seems pretty well in character.

I don't know, I would agree with you otherwise, but editing a picture of a singer who died relatively recently (2012) to be a demon just seems strange to me. You could be right, I'm still not sure about all of it

TBH, I'm not sure that some of the Branch Davidian references were in the best taste either (though they are actually sympathetic to them, but people who don't read the interviews wouldn't know that) but I feel that BOC occasionally do things that are provocative.

I think it is in character for them. And perhaps one of them finally wants to deflate their mythos after 26 years.

Hell Interface stuff has always involved creating twisted versions of pop music and pop culture. Like a lot of Discordian humor it's both tongue-in-cheek and deadly serious at once.

To me this seems pretty clearly part of the wave of bizarre social media activity we've been seeing from them across both verified and unverified accounts over the past year or two. I feel like something is on the horizon.

Any ideas for the Whitney Houston image?

My only guess is they might be referencing that fake BoC Whitney Houston remix that surfaced years ago.. The title could sort of align with it being a troll or whatever lol.. "How Will I Know", and they made her look like a demon.

Edit: I think my favorite fake is the Acid Memories fake. You put it on and it simply plays Kaini Industries. I hope they (or the trolls) pay tribute to that

They also used some of the other "hell interface" YouTube channel uploads on their last.fm I believe, like the Persona 5 memes the guy was uploading.

Wow this is weird and unexpected. For me, this doesn't add up to something M&M would put out as a promotional campaign. It almost feels as something an algorithm would suggest based on the name 'Hell Interface'.

Maybe they are letting AI take care of their Hell Interface moniker. That whole fb profile looks like it is run by bot. Something I found interesting, the man on youtube banner seems to be saying "Hi" so that banner might have been made just for Hell Interface purpose. Also top left, Hydrogen with a 1 or I in the middle. Just speculating.,,
