I actually do think, that this line was included in Music is Math to try and show what Boards of Canada is all about. They literally take sounds from the past, and recreate them, manifest them into the present. They are auditory time travelers, and create a bubble in their music that is the past, but recontextualized with the present.

Maybe that's what they're trying to do here, link us back to older clues in order to change our perception and meaning of them. But just a thought. I'm probably overthinking things.

I'm honestly starting to think the only reason why they changed that profile picture on the HI facebook was to direct us to a long forgotten clue of the Tomorrow's Harvest ARG, that we missed the first time around. Starting to doubt the activity was hinting at anything new. Rather to point at a clue from the past.

I'm just imagining it when all this is in the past if we'll ever get a statement like "yeah that video on the fb was just for random lolz haha" I just kinda can't believe it..

Even if it is then and just for lulz, I think sometimes we take them way too seriously (I’m guilty as hell) and forget the hints of humor built into albums. TH in all its foreboding nature even has “Come To Dust”, which I can’t help but read into as deadpan erotic humor.

No worries, I also noticed that Metropolis avatar but thought it is probably not worth checking out. Maybe it is.

Well, unless it is all just a big, very impressive hoax by a fan. That caveat always has to be there given what we've seen in the past. But I'm having trouble not buying the legitimacy at this point.

That would be very sad and disappointing if that was truly the case. Especially since the troll would either be creating fake FB pages to mislead people or hacking into them. That's way worse than the Catherine Fell stuff because Geoghandi simply made a post on reddit that people believed and bought into.

Really hope that's not the case. Fingers crossed. Definitely a mixture of hype and trepidation right now until we're officially confirmed.

yeah I have felt this since the fb went black but I can't figure out what it could be we missed.. only thing I can think of is that there is something hidden in the video, but that feels like a reach..

All you can really do is list out all the social media and presumed social media accounts and check em out. Either that or look into the black screen.

I think if this isn't a troll, it's definitely a red moon kind of thing. After all, they're probably biding their time while they wait for the release window to open up again after May with Seefeel and Squid.

the only commonality within the Hell Interface Whitney Houston photo and James Brown vid is that there are ideas floating around that both of them (bare with me) sold their souls to the devil for the rise to fame. I do not have any screen shots but if you search enough, you will see what I mean. I have spent hours on end searching trying to not go crazy or post any false leads here but I can not deny that there is some correlation between James and Whitney/Hell Interface. Or at least an idea connecting them all.

I apologize if I am reaching too far considering I only want to try and contribute. I am new to this forum so I want to show respect but I would rather speak up than not say anything in case any of you fine people may have a better grasp than I do.

In example, on YouTube, I searched "Hell Interface James Brown" and the third video I noticed in line with all of their other videos was a video titled "James Brown & the Devil". Now, I am not saying that this particular video is anything at all because the video is kind of stupid and it has a ton of views but it is worth a note.

Side note: If you search "Inferno Alliance" on YouTube, there is a channel there with no subscribers (except for me now of course) but it does translate to "Hell Interface" as well. I simply attempted arranging a ton of words together and that was the only one that popped up with an actual channel. No significant date, banner, profile picture but a video titled "Some Meme" with Han Solo and Greedo in A New Hope that makes fun of EA and the Average Customer and a 10 hour loop of some "Gas Gas Gas" song. I could be so far off but like I said, better mentioned than not.

Side side note: I also apologize if this has been mentioned before but I ran the newest Facebook profile pic and banner of BoC that are the same photos they had before but randomly changed (via exifinfo.org & metadata2go.com) and they do have binary embedded in them. I have seen this before in other steganography "games" and that it is common for the Red, Green, and Blue Tone Reproductions to have 64 bytes of binary data within but I just wanted to point this out in case anyone might be able to dig deeper than me. I may be going just a little insane.

Hmmm.. I tried to run another photo off some other fb page through exifinfo to see if that binary data could be a fb thing but no other gave me the same result. Also what's up with its quality? it looks like it was badly cut out from somewhere. Was it always like this?

It is nothing. Extracted it and it contains a tag which some image softwares use to further identify the image, what to do with it etc. Some other unrelated fb fan page pics also have binary inside.

I've decided to write this post addressed to the band and their handlers, especially if they're reading the forum as we occasionally feel they are: Can we get a moment of clarity please?

I've been following everything since 2019 with Societas and I feel it's gotten progressively stranger and stranger with the conspiracy theories and numerology on the forum transforming into trolls with their own false leads and now, we've gotten to the point where we cannot distinguish what's official and what's not.

Is what's going on now some strange marketing campaign from the band, or a troll who managed to hack their accounts, or even the band trolling their own fanbase? I wish I knew the answer.

I really get the feeling that this is all a commentary.. In a way, I still find this fun because it makes light of something a lot darker going on in society where you don't know who to trust anymore.

Perhaps we'll even get a BOC album that's all about these smoke and mirrors with even more convoluted song titles than before. Or perhaps things won't even be labeled like Societas X Tape, it'll just be tracks with no names.

But whatever it is, I hope soon the light shines on the true answer and I'm there to see it. So let's hope this post is read by the powers-that-be.

My theory is that they are releasing music out of there, even through accounts we think are just owned by fans, and they want to make us to look for it.
