and YES to Big Thief. I had the fortune of seeing them open for Wye Oak, but didn't know them at the time. I think I'd heard Masterpiece (the single) on NPR before. They blew us away. Real Love was killer.

today, spinning Bowie's Blackstar. every time I listen to it it gets a bit better

blackstar is a real grower, some great songs on it like ‘girl loves me’ & ‘sue (or in a season of crime)’ really digging the dark Cabaret type jazz fusion on that album.
