One of the folks behind Chairlift, Caroline Polachek, came out with a great ambient album a few years ago that she just sorta worked on whenever she needed a break from doing the poppy stuff. It's real good! makes me think a bit of Brian Eno or one of those music-for-plants composers

I just very recently became aware that the 2005 Broadcast album "Tender Buttons" is quite awesome, I've only heard "The Noise Made by People" before, I wasn't aware of this album at all.

Funny, I'm the opposite in that I usually only listen to Tender Buttons. i only just discovered Broadcast in general maybe a year ago! tender buttons was my first.. but I'm loving everything I've listened to so far. cheers!
