Whosampled is an awesome resource usually, but it's hard getting samples you've submitted to be approved by moderators... I've been waiting 9 months for them to verify a couple

One sample I've come across accidentally but I don't remember whosampled listing was in Omni Trio's "Together" it samples Deee-Life's "Picnic In The Summertime", specifically Lady Miss Kier's opening "he-heyeyee".

man it always takes me aback a bit when I see, like, Grace Jones doing this commercial, or Samuel L. Jackson doing a capital one commercial. I just wonder how that happens. obviously money is involved, but I wonder what else the calculus looks like behind it - like, does Chase just call up John Travolta's agent and say "hey, we'll fund his little pet project idea if he does this Chase spot for us"?

I'm maybe out of the loop here, but when did gig tickets get so damn expensive?! Family have been asking me for ideas for Christmas presents and I thought I'd look up Ride (touring Nowhere) and Spiritualized next year - both +£30 a ticket (plus an admin charge TO PRINT THEM OUT MYSELF). I'd never ask anyone to spend that much on me. Then there's travel on top of that t (bands - please start playing Edinburgh; the Queens Hall is lovely).
