BoC & Drugs

Post by Green Pylon »

Yesterday, when I smoke a few joints (4, 5? I don't remember  ) I played Geo & MHTRTC I founded a lot of new sounds on the tracks, for example in julie & candy seems that playin a little low flute on all the song, and always plays four sound notes, it's interesting how the drugs influence the Boc trips (I mean the albums). for this reason y open this topic, so write your experience with these elements.

Sorry, bad english xD, if u don't understand what I mean, tell me...

bye guyz!

Of course boc is a mind trip on its own accord. But it does make things interesting if you can boost your sense of hearing in incredible ways. Boards of canada is simply profound under the influence of Psilocybin. I already know you cats have experienced this enough so i don't have to rambling about it. Psilocybin is a magic potion for deeply experiencing. All your sense shoot sky high and you can hear and see things you'd usually miss. Upon my first listens of the campfire headphase I was entirely too impressed. but after ingesting Psilocybin Cyanescens i could hear that album opening its elusive doors to sound.

I'm not much into dr. Chrondo but it does easily allow you to absorb yourself into sound for long periods of time. but if you think about it...you are easily aborbed into just about anything whilst toking on the greens. Even if its being hooked on your favorite informercial channels, adult swim or the tyra banks show. No matter what you can count on yourself pounding cheetohs and being dedicated to the moment despite the content ( in most cases i believe )

Anyway, main point is...smoke on the bowl, eat on thine shrooms, enjoy your sound adventures. its good shit.

I think I also came to love boc more thru pot and such...not to say that you have to be high to listen to music, but it certainly makes things...grander, I guess.

I am simply floored, astounded, amazed and blown away each time I happen to listen to BoC while under the influence of LSD. Utterly sublime...

It's like the music is the actual device that moves existence along. Without it, life would cease. Also, it's like you're actually wrapped in the music. You're totally living within it, and breathing it. Very very profound experience. And it seems so real too!

I stopped taking Acid before I got into BoC. Part of me would like to try the combo but I know I cant go back there.

I'm constantly amazed at how different BoC sounds on different equiptment. I can hear certain sounds and voices on my headphones and not on my stereo speakers and vice versa.

glad you said that...couldnt agree more. i have listened to BoC in through a variety of things, amps, ghetto blasters, good headphones, bad headphones, vinyls, and each one is a different experience...

on the note of different experiences i will say being high and listening to BoC is a different exprience than not...i wont say better..just different...you hear different things and feel different ways..tripping on some closed caps brings about different experiences while listening..kind of like above, listening to BoC through different sound sources brings something different to the table...i love them all...

I gotta get me a ghetto blaster.

I used to transfer albums over to 8-track in college to see what they'd sound like.. and just for the novelty factor. Who else had "The Downward Spiral" on 8-track?

You don't take drugs in order to enjoy the music but people rather take drugs to extend the music to yet another level which is unperceivable without the use of those mind-enhancing-drugs.

Well don't ever listen to "1969" on potato chips and diet coke. Let's just say you wake up downtown on a street corner naked covered in caked alaskan grizzly bear semen.
