"You may be dead" and "A god with horns" sample FOUND!

Post by oliveoil22 »

Two samples in one video here (Dawn Chorus and You Could Feel The Sky), a series from the mid nineties exploring vast religions mainly in the british Isles:

"A god with horns":

"You may be dead (Lured)"

Episode found with Filmot, a youtube captions searcher.

A two-fer! Not only do we find the sample, but find out they were never saying "hooves" and "dead".

fantastic work! good luck with finding the "Blockbusters sample though because Bob Holness (the voice heard in the sample) hosted 1,340 episodes during the series' run.
I wait, tense... then disappointed

Well done! If you heard those samples by themselves you would think that background fire crackle was from vinyl ;)

Fantastic. I think Filmot can be used to find a lot of samples. I'm already on it and searching

Some of the Geogaddi samples I would most like to be found are:

"The Past Inside The Present" from Music Is Math
"An Eagle In Your Mind" from Sunshine Recorder (the time stretched nature of this one leads me to believe Sesame Street...)
The whole talking section from The Devil Is In The Details

I am impressed, wow!

Let's be real, they definitely made the first two themselves. Not every vocal sample has to be from something.

"the past inside the present" is most likely from Coil's interviews with Terence McKenna - it's almost certainly McKenna, at least. i listened to a 54 minute recording between John Balance and McKenna, but nothing, could be a portion that was never publicly released but was given to BoC in their collaboration with Coil
