Inspired by the movie thread.
What video/computer games gives you that BoC feel?
I'd say...Zork Nemesis (geogaddi) also, the myst series do alot.

The first Silent Hill? A lot of the older Atari/NES games too, no specific names come to mind at the moment though. It's funny, last night I was thinking about starting a thread exactly like this. Good work Cupz.

Not a problem dude.
I thought of a few NES titles that remind me of boc..
-The Immortal - Weird isometric view game...I think it was a PC port.
-Castlevania II-Always creeped me out as a kid, haha.
Also, Golden Axe on Sega Genesis has a semi-boc feel. And the game Out of This World is another one...it was on Sega and SNES..and I think PC.

The old NES game, Faxanadu
Also, Tetris... because I've played it every fucking day for the last 3 years while listening to BOC.

Faxanadu for certain. Also there's a couple Mega Man levels that have a bit of a boccish feel, Air Man to name one. And that first Dr. Wily level in Mega Man 2, to name a second.

Strange, I never played Faxanadu..I've seen it countless times in stores though. Perhaps I'll go grab the rom....

solstice for nes.
the colour scheme, the extremely odd music, characters and overall style of the game. Lovely weirdness and a great game.

Yeah, I've got the rom too. I still play it every once in a while... while remembering being a kid. I remember I was playing it one day in the middle of winter while the snow was falling. That was really cool.

8 Eyes for NES. When I first heard House Of Abin'adab, I was instantly reminded of how the levels in 8 Eyes were called Houses.
For some reason a lot of the old BOC reminds me of old NES games.

I've never heard of this 8 Eyes game. It looks very much like Castlevania from what I read/see on Wikipedia...which, as I think I mentioned earlier, is a great boc-ish game

On FF9
the map/field music kinda sounds like "5.9.78" from "A Few Old Tunes Vol 1"
