So I was looking at their old interviews, specially the one where they mentioned the shootout near the Trade Winds Hotel.
This is referenced in one of their remix and possibly the origin of "To the wind".
Now I had tried in the past to find that hotel on google map and didn't manage to do it. I tried again today and found some old archived stuff.
The Trade Winds Hotel was a Motor Hotel used mostly for wedding receptions. As you can see by this 60's flier with a picture of said hotel (on a side note It looks very boccish/Societas X)
Now what I didn't expect to find was that while looking at other documents I found this little advert in a Jewish newspaper and right under the advert it is said in bold: (Directly opposite to the CHINOOK Center)
"It's a small world. I stayed in Braeside for a while and I remember a shoot out near the Trade Winds hotel, when I was told to get down on the floor of the car."

Snow Eater in native's language.
Yep, that's how I've always heard it used (I'm not Canadian but I live near the border in the far northern US). The song has always sounded like a violent winter wind to me, too.
Chinook is also the name of a Native American/First Nations people, and a type of salmon. Lots of things. I think the hotel theory sounds a lot like them though, like maybe some sort of nostalgic memory tied to the place. Who knows.
