I suspect they didn't retweet because they want to keep it on the down low for now, a retweet would alert everyone, this is a little treat for us hardcore fans.

I think demo said it best. It's just yet another subtle confirmation of a new project (old/new) to come. A retweet would've been too much because that surely wouldn't fit with Warp's marketing plans.

Take the following into consideration. The hardcore fans are only a very small subset of their total social media followers. Only that small subset is likely to see the given like and draw a conclusion out of it. It would be a totally different scenario if they would retweet it to all their followers. Snowball effect.

Has anyone actually tried to poke David Firth for info... he's a massive fan, he's used their material before, he's English...

I've spoken to Mr Firth a couple of times about BoC, he's just a massive fan like us, he doesn't even know if BoC (or Aphex Twin) are aware of his use of their music in his videos, I think he has some communication with Warp, and is really close with Flying Lotus, but that's it.

I wouldn't go asking David questions, he doesn't know anything and is probably very busy working on his next amazing animation

I talked to Yoni Wolf from Why? about BOC within the last couple of years and he had no idea what was going on with them either. I think the only ones who would know are people like MDG and Peter Iain Campbell, and they're keeping tight-lipped ("I can't say anything, but.... Sit tight." -PIC)

While I understand the excitement in wanting info, I would be shocked (and saddened) if anyone who is trusted by them spoiled any info. It's kind of a shitty thing to do (as a trusted friend, for example) that I, personally, wouldn't answer even if I did know. I also likely wouldn't tolerate it well to have people asking me, either.
