I actually do wonder, if there really is a new album soon - will it be their last? Based on the seven years for TH and the nine (at least) for any new one, do you really think there could be another one afterwards? No way, imo.

It's hard to tell, I assume they work on multiple projects at once though, which could mean it's possible they have LP5 that is 100% complete and ready to go, LP6 which is 70% complete and BoCset which is 50% complete.

Which is indeed my prediction, I hope we get at least 2 more albums from them. They're the greatest band in the world after all, I think they should at least reach 6 mainline studio albums before they retire, not to mention complete the Hexagon.

I want to at least give it til chk chk chk's album drops on May 6th. Hopefully afterwards, Stargate will release some new content involving the boys, followed by an announcement.

But I have a feeling the next thing Warp will announce is a Jockstrap remix EP, followed by a Yves Tumor album, a Lorenzo Senni double album, some Hudson Mohawk singles, perhaps a Squid record store day special, a compilation from Maximo Park, another Chk Chk Chk album, and to prove that they still release IDM music, they'll reissue Autechre's Confield on vinyl, only Pen Expers will be remixed to the sound of BOC fans crying.

Yeah, the original comment is way off; we've gotten way more from BOC in the last 3 years alone than in the whole 7 years after Trans Canada.

I meant only in terms of communication. Of course we've gotten tons of content, I'm usually the first to point that out to people I talk to.

...and to expand on this a little more, usually when you get activity/interactions (especially the type we've been seeing) you end up seeing more movement or at least something announced...anything, really.

We're now almost at May in 2022, that'll be 10 months since their last remix track release...which also had very little information from the brothers themselves.

As Mr.Biz (if you're Nasty) stated, it was actual words before. We could get a clearer understanding of where things are in the process. We're going off social media "likes" and treating them as equal to words.

Maybe that's part of the "game", too - and I think it's important to note (from my perspective) what I'm saying above isn't out of "anger" or "how dare you not inform your fans", but just pointing out what I see, without any emotional baggage.
