@boardsofcanada has linked music-explained.com posts since 2010. @namtax is followed by @marcuseoin, which has music-explained.com in its bio.

@boardsofcanada follows like... NFT stuff and is actually active in likes.

i believe @namtax owns @marcuseoin and @boardsofcanada and is just a music fan who owns accounts of a band they like.. i mean.. i dont think i would be convinced Marcus or Michael would be actively liking art/pictures of random crypto stuff.

One of the fears about TH when it was announced was it would be a fully ambient album. How do we feel about that the next BOC album being fully ambient?

I wouldn't mind. They've done great ambient tracks but nobody has ever come close to impersonating a BOC drum track. I would be at a loss without hearing their latest advancements in the drum area.

But beggars can't be choosers. If it's fully ambient I would enjoy the hell out of it. Selected Ambient Works Vol 2 style

oldboy does a great job of scratching that itch.



As neat as it would be to have an all-ambient BoC album, the usual mixture of both ambient and beat tracks will always be my preference. It definitely creates a better flow/overall listening experience, imo.

It'd be great to have some more long-form material in the next release though. I'm not suggesting they go full-on GY!BE mode, but I think it would be cool if they threw a few 10+ minute pieces into the tracklist.

I would be pretty disappointed with an all-ambient album in all honesty. A nine year gap for something like that would just be unreasonable. Don't get me wrong, I love their ambient work. Heard From Telegraph Lines is one of my top three BoC songs, but if we may skip the formalities for a second, ambient is just a lot simpler and a lot easier to make. And it certainly wouldn't take nine years to complete, they said before they record ambient vignettes the most.
