How about 8/22 is the announcement date and 9/30 is the release date. 8/22 is the start of the week and Sep 30 is a Friday.

Nice time span too for everyone to get all hyped :)

8/22 in the UK date format is just august 2022. Would be a hell of an Easter egg if it is.

Just went back to MDG’s statement, he said a new album is on the way, but he didn’t specify that the album was by Boards of Canada.
