I like the covers for Filter's first two albums. I wish they stuck with the more corporate maxi-single/blandish look for the rest of their album covers.

Arctic Monkeys - The Car (2022)

Ten days until this is released on Domino. It's an album rollout I've been following every step of the way. You better all be prepared for me going Monkeys mad for the next few months!

The artwork for the Japanese release of Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. by The Monkees. This was actually what I thought the original artwork was when I was a little kid because my dad had a copy of it on CD lying around, as well as various other international Monkees releases. It still holds a certain pocket in my memory despite my love for the original "Music has the Right to Monkees" version

I share this exact opinion, although I may not like Short Bus that much I love Title of Record.rodox_head wrote:I like the covers for Filter's first two albums. I wish they stuck with the more corporate maxi-single/blandish look for the rest of their album covers.
Sweet Trip - Velocity : Design : Comfort.

And speaking of japanese album issues with different artwork, here's one of my favorite examples
Black Sabbath - Paranoid

I honestly think I prefer this one over the original

Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff

This cover perfectly encapsulates what grunge was (and still is) all about, it's great

All of the Alice in Wonderland type characters that Colin Elgie penned onto the Genesis - A Track of the Tail cover!
Each character relates to a track from the record.

Re: your favourite album artwork?
A hefty mix of singles and album covers:
John Grant - The Only Baby (2021) (Single)

Always the most inventive, like the satirical American iconography in this.
Kero Kero Bonita - Time N' Place (2018)

Spunky, lush and punky. Arts and crafts psychedelia cover.
Mac DeMarco - Another One (2015)

Mackie as a fisherman.
Peter Gabriel - Panopticom (2023) (Single)

Still looking at this and I have zilch idea what i/o will sound like.
Crumb - Jinx (2019)

Looks like it sounds... intrigued ya?
Bloomsday - Phase (2022) (Single)

Give me a hug lass.
Loose Buttons - Window Seat (Freak You Out) (2021) (Single)

Can't quite say why I am so fond of this un.
Locust Toybox - The Eyelid Recording (2019)

Get those rusty spoons out! We all know David Firth around these parts, his art is almost as creepy as his animation.

When it comes down to it, I have an on/off relationship with Gorillaz music but I've always loved Jamie Hewlett's artwork.

Ozric Tentacles covers fit like a glove to their jammy space musick.
Jurassic Shift (1993)

Strangeitude (1991)

Curious Corn (1997)

Erpland (1990)

Quite an embodiment of their sound. But beware, once you've heard one album, you have heard em all!

Blur - The Ballad Of Darren (2023)

It's pretty interesting. Noticing they're using the sideways slant logo from the early records like The Great Escape.
