TCH: One Year Later

A year later...it's my favourite BoC album. I absolutely love what BoC are doing at the minute and i'm very excited about what they're going to do next!

I fully enjoyed it yesteday when i was deer hunting. . . TOTCE and farewell fire almost made me cry, i guess it's just being in a tree stand + middle of woods + half asleep + fading sun +birds and squirrels + BOC = good experience.

yup, this album is getting better with age (just like every single one of their releases) this is boc's life changingly 'good trip' album - a total reaction to 'geogaddi'. i absolutley love it and have since its release...

Wow, it seems like forever ago I got this. I was in one of the worst depressions of my life when I first heard it and now it sounds so different to me.

I love the direction they went with this album with all the organic sounds but I still feel like it hasn't sunk into me completely yet. I need to get this on vinyl, this is an album that just begs to be heard that way.

good soundtrack to being alone in the desert staring up at the stars while tripping,enhances the experience for me at least,slow this bird down makes more sense that way...

how do u follow geo and MHTRTC?the next whenever/if it comes out is gonna be even more interesting as it was the first time they had experienced negative reactions to one of their albums

As of now The Campfire Headphase is still my favorite BoC album...
I've recently had some amazing experiences listening to it; chilling out on my bed being literally sucked into a metaworld of vivid, layered detail that streches into near-infinity...

'Chromakey Dreamcoat' and 'Satellite Anthem Icarus' are absolute masterpieces; they are SO dense and chewy; I discover something new with each listen. 'Peacock Tail' is still my favorite though... The first quarter of the album (before Dayvan Cowboy) is untouchable...

TCH isn't perfect though; 'Dayvan Cowboy' while FAR from a bad track, tends to be a little melodramatic for my tastes these days. It is certainly more at home here as opposed to te TCH EP though.
The LONG fade-out of 'Farewell Fire' blew me away at first, but now that I've heard it so many times the novely of the fade-out has started to wear off; however, for those of us that have the Japanese version, 'Macquarie Ridge' rises up for a spectacular sendoff.

Whenever I hear TCH I automatically think of the EP. I live next to the first exit to the highway, and everyone here calls it the TCH.

But yeah, I love The Campfire Headphase. I think it's the album that REALLY got me into BoC. It's very accessable but also adventurous.

It has aged very well. It's still in my car to this day.....

Definitley one of my favorite driving CDs.

Yes i do agree it is a good album, in its own right. but for me, after all this time since the release, the first 4 tracks, i think, are some of there best work, but then i feel i need to turn the album off as it just seems to sound like its doing it just for the sake of it.

now i have listened to this album a million and 1 billion times on cd, mp3 and on vinyl, but it is in no way there best album, and i am sorry, but it is NOT a grower at all. i mean, Fairwell Fire, what a waste of time, it was done on geo, in one way.

give me geo and anything behind that work as there best work.

TCHeadphase, is really sadly, still a disappointment to me.

I may be the only one on this board that agrees with this statement. I don't see what the big deal about this track is...boring.
