I remember one time while working nights I joked with my coworker that it felt like being in Organization XIII in kingdom Hearts 2 sometimes (short staffed and everyone was kinda irritable). I then thought and realized that if we were an O13 that I would have been the Saix of the group since I'm brooding, mostly calm, but prone to mood swings, and I was always observant of the moon. We had a Demyx on our team which was a title he was reluctant to claim

I think Saix is my favorite O13 members from KH2 (I only ever played 1 and 2) and the battle with him is pretty cool. He controls the power of the moon and therefore his main power is essentially lunacy.

Since you mention O13, you remind me of a pretty funny story... my brother was super into Kingdom Hearts when we were kids (partially why I hold it a little closer than some other medias) and he was SUPER into Organization XIII. His favorite members were (coincidentally enough) Saix and Marluxia. He really liked Saix bc of his Moon powers and he liked Marluxia because of the cherry-blossomed scythe. He would talk about them all the time, draw them and put them everywhere, sometimes he would draw them "flipped" (Marluxia would have Moon-Scythe Powers or whatever and Saix would be the "Earth" or whatever bc of the cherry-blossoms and trees, I think he just wanted to do something with planets lol) ... it was fun! Basically what I am trying to say is that I saw a lot of Saix as a kid, makes me happy to see him again as an adult and invoke the same feelings.

Bonus points, btw... my brother is gay.............. LOL. We like the things we like.

I remember I first played KH with my older sister when I was about 10, so it probably had an effect on me as well. I seem to recall thinking Sora was a girl when the first trailers came out (it was the early '00s, it wasn't uncommon for girls to have hair like male anime characters ), being a little intimidated by his Atlantica form, and then accidentally stumbling onto yaoi fanart of the game. Now I'm an asexual enby, so make of that what you will.

Marluxia is pretty cool from what I've seen. I read somewhere that he was supposed to be a Grim Reaper of a sort and his style/demeanor kinda remind me of a looming inevitability of death, also he reminds me of a mix of David Sylvian and Mick Karn from the band Japan during their Glam era:
