Silent Hill official soundtracks:
1. Silent Hill 2 (Slightly overrated game, but credit where credit is due. It does a fantastic job of cramming the story into one whole listen)
2. Silent Hill 3 (Firebrandx's Complete Soundtrack Ultimate Edition is a must listen, though. From both a sound design and musical POV, it's some of Yamaoka's finest work. "You're Not Here" is my 3rd favorite vocal track in the series)
3. Silent Hill 0rigins (Fungo's Complete Soundtrack is a must listen, though, and is honestly the superior way of listening to the ST, even if a few tracks are missing. "Shot Down In Flames" is my 2nd favorite vocal track in the series)
4. Silent Hill 4: The Room (I don't think I've ever listened to the 2nd disc all the way through, but the Limited Edition ST is a fantastic supplemental listen. "Tender Sugar" is my favorite vocal song of the series)
5. Silent Hill: Homecoming (Latter half is a little weak but the rest is beautifully haunting)
6. Silent Hill (Too many short tracks for me to rank it higher, but still a good assortment of dark ambient sounds)
7. Silent Hill: Downpour (I'm sorry, but the Jonathan Davis song is NOT GOOD *boom*, but Daniel Licht (RIP) gave it a good shot and his contributions are still worth a listen)
8. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (The one with the most "least memorable" pieces IMO. Nothing bad, just nothing that really stands out that well outside the vocal tracks which hit close to home for me since the story is centered around divorce and unreliable memory)

Back in the 90s, artists were given a full cd to fill. The maximum capacity of one is 80 minutes.
I'm not saying this is the case for The Prodigy, but many albums I know from that time period really could've done with being trimmed out a bit. (Jilted has more material than a standard album runtime but just under the amount to be classified as a double album.)

I'd take The Division Bell as a prime example. I should say, I really enjoy all of the material, but I look at it, and fairly often it says to me that the band wanted to make the most out of the new format.
And this is coming from a prog fan who loves long excursions!

I honestly wouldn't have minded if Poison got cut for the full version of One Love, it always feels like a flow-breaker to me . Hell, I probably wouldn't mind if 3 Kilos was cut but I'll be damned if I want to live in the timeline where Skylined and Claustrophobic Sting are absent.

Regarding Front Line Assembly, I never really cared for anything after Implode except for Improvised Electronic Device and Echogenetic (and its surprising dubstep influences).

Everything before Caustic Grip, which was far from a masterpiece, sounds kinda meh to me. For the 1992-1999 period and the 2010-2013 phase, I don't really know how I would made my ranks, but Tactical Neural Implant, Millennium, Hard Wired and [FLA]vour of the Weak all deserve a mention.

Subject to change over time, but I think I can confidently say that "Will" and "Zero" are at the bottom, and "Greenpeace" is a definite #1 spot. Given how genre-fluid he was, It's difficult to definitively say which is better than the other. I'm actually still not completely done with his stuff. I haven't yet listened to Anima Beat or his Ebi albums.

"Zero" was actually the first album of his that I ever listened to, so it's kinda disappointing to see it end up at the bottom.

I stopped at my favorite top 10. Pretty much everything he's done I enjoy on some level, but between remixes, collaborations, EPs, and film scores, I thought this would suffice as core material. For me, Hecker is right there with BoC in creating music that leaves me feeling changed after listening. I have a lot of memories and emotions connected to his music.

This is almost impossible.. pretty much all his stuff is top notch. I think Harmony in Ultraviolet, Ravedeath and Virgins are my favourites. But the truth is my favourite is whichever one I'm listening to at the time
