Guess I'd get as much an answer out of them as asking the local frogs for information
I remember there being a second site that said "Thank you" after you hit enter, made me wonder if they were collecting the words for shanaenigans later, or if there was something with the whole owl of minerva thing people really didn't figure out. This is the kind of question(s) I had for them for the longest time before someone who was equally obsessed but a far better musician showed me how so much of BOCs sound design could be mimicked using an SH-101, a CS1x, an Ensoniq Mirage, a microphone, and a Quantec Room Simulator (the last this particular individual swears is the end all of BOC sound design).

I wish there was a video of what I saw, but when I saw this a few years ago, it was like the answer I was looking for for over a decade.

Boards of Canada doesn't do their sound in Abbey Road Studios with custom Rupert Neve equipment. These weren't rich guys by any measure. Literally just a bunch of cheap 80 and 90s equipment with a ton of creativity and imagination.
