Best Headphones under 150

I used my Grado s60 for years until they completely wear of.

Any recommendations?

This might be too expensive arvy, but it's whack on your aforementioned price range. I bought myself not long ago a pair of Sennheiser 560s, to replace my Bose QuietComfort which had two years of wear and tear with it. It's only been two months since but I do enjoy em quite a bit. I did thorough research before going for it because of the heavy tag, I recommend doing the same, we all have different ears!

Thanks guys, tried Beyer-Dynamic DTpro 990X, were too heavy for me and little over my budget, tho sound was excellent. Probably going with Sennheiser 560s, or simply with Sony 3d Pulse just for gaming. Wireless would be great, tho it is not a complete deal breaker.

I'd even say for lower budgets, the M40X holds up really well too.

I think I'll use this album drop as an excuse to get myself some! i know i'd prefer wired over wireless - I can likely deal with 1/4" or 1/8" jack. but it's been so long since i really thought about headphones (been fortunate to have a good stereo setup for a while but i get the feeling this album deserves some good headphones)

Currently I'm using a second-hand ATH-M50X which has been quite amazing . I mostly got it for studio use, its sadly too big to comfortably wear outside, but they sound really great and very comfy. I got them because I wanted one that was closed so it doesn't bleed into recordings as much. Think I might go back and get a AKG K240 MKII if this one passes though, I really miss them.

For studio use and djing the Audio-Technicas are incredible value. For on the go listening sessions I personally don't like headphones in general. Too bulky and heavy, they don't get along with hair accessories, the ear pads rot with sweat if you live somewehere with balmy weather, they bleed out too much, you need a perfect fit if you're walking (I swear by the Audio-Technicas but the headband sits weird on me, maybe it's got weird with the years.) This is more debatable but I find I don't benefit from the extra clarity if I can't pay full attention to the music, and I don't like fiddling too much with EQ for casual listening so I don't have a use for flat-ish response gear in that context. So I use a pair of Zero2 IEMs and I'm happy. They're decently isolating, they don't bleed out at all if your tips are the right size, and for 25 eur they sound incredible. Not audiophile incredible but I reckon crowded trains and errand trips aren't good settings for audiophile sessions anyway.

On the flipside, the Audio-Technica stuff is bulletproof. Mine look knackered with a peeling headband but I've had them for years now and at this point I don't think I'll ever have to replace them? Official replacement cables are expensive though and the off brand ones are very hit and miss.

I remember listening to Tomorrow’s Harvest on a pair of Grados that we’re in the 100-200 dollar range and hearing subliminal voices in the mix clearly for the first time. Right now, I have these cheap, portable AIAIAI headphones to avoid earbuds.

I'm no expert, but I went for Sony WH-CH720N - wireless and noise cancelling at a decent price and you can also use them wired. They're well rated by 'What Hi-Fi', who i've always found to have decent judgement over the years.

As far as "under 10" goes (for my broke friends out there), I am extremely happy with my panasonic RP-HJE125E in-ear wired buds. For just 9 euros these sound amazing.

My partner has these. They sound quite decent indeed and the noise cancelling is unreal!
