What planet are you living on? TH isn’t for everyone because of the concept behind it, but if you tune into what they are actually doing, it’s incredible work. The Campfire Headphase was prime and both EP’s are fantastic. I wish sometimes they would do a whole album in the minimal format of IABPOITC. Those songs are so badass!

Agreed. The remixes give me hope. Treat Em Right has turned into my fav remix. It took several days for me to get into it, but I think it’s amazing now. I can’t put my finger on why I like it so much.
This link will expire in less than 10 hrs (instagram story) but what track is this? Peter Ian Campbell post. Has some very familiar sounding synths in it.

Honestly guys I didn't mean what I said really, None of it is shit, it's all fantastic but I guess life imitates art, MHTRTC is a nostalgic moment in time we can never return to..Just as they intended

Boards of Canada sampled themselves on Treat Em Right and things came full circle. They returned to Music Has The Right To Children in a very past inside the present way.
What's crazy is how good Open The Light sounds on that. They basically created a new song out of an old one.

Do you guys think they'll drop a single if there is an album announcement? I mean I wouldn't be surprised, but I kinda like the idea of this sudden reveal of a release date and then everything comes out all at once

I think we're at the point where there's gonna be some big fanfare when they return. It is now a decade so they might go for a big spectacle again. The journalists like Pitchfork will eat this up of course.
That said, since nobody has ever posted any leaks like the recent Aphex Twin EP number, I think they could drop it without anyone knowing.
It seems customary that Warp drops a single one month ahead of time (like they did with Blackbox Recorder) but maybe they will buck the trend with BOC?

How did it go with the whole ARG thingy with Tomorrow's Harvest? Reach for the Dead was 1 of the first things to pop up right? After the short video in the same style as Reach for the Dead? I think that was like a single?

I've come to decide that my two ideal followups to Tomorrow's Harvest would be an even angrier, satanic death metal IDM album (probably by Hell Interface) or a really zen, blissful return to the 'commercial' 2005-2006 sound but done more in the psychedelic vein of Sometimes and that Odd Nosdam loop he published on Instagram. Maybe with some self sampling like Treat Em Right.
I find either of those directions would make me very happy.
There's also the much discussed space direction, which might sound like the Flash Resonance space album by Christian Chevallier, but with metallic Tomorrow's Harvest percussion.
But whatever it is, I'm just gonna be thankful it exists.
