Was there an actual confirmation or even a hint for this?
To continue believing there is no album at this point would be extremally silly, this twitter post alone is another piece of evidence in a sea of teases. BoC would NOT be highlighting tweets like this if there was no album. They literally linked to their social media saying something like "check here for announcements" . You really gonna say that and then announce nothing ever? Of all the artists on Warp, BoC are by far the most desired by fans to make a comeback. I truly believe that if BoC had hung it up, Warp themselves would have told us, but that's beside the point. All of what I've just said, plus MDG's direct confirmation, PLUS the stuff I've probably missed.
We've been getting constant teasers since 2019, which in that time covid happened. It's not a far cry to assume BoC may have been gearing up for a 2021 release but delayed it due to Warp reanalyzing how they promote artists during a pandemic. That's pure speculation, as this thread requires. After 4 years of teasers, I think it's coming to a head, don't forget time works differently for BoC, 4 years to them may just be a blip.
I truly believe the wait may be over soon.. Latest I would assume is mid next year, but I feel it'll be even sooner than that.
Could be another 10 years for all we know. Rumors and speculation is just that and I don’t put much stock in tweets and likes.
Exactly. Unless if there’s an announcement directly from the band or label that gives us a reasonable timeframe to expect something to be released, the twitter activity is more or less a red herring. Since TH, they’ve like well over 100 tweets from people asking for new music, yet nothing but remixes show for it.
