Pretty cool.

Although that line is not really an addition by boc, it appears in the release by coL.

filmot.com reveals its source:

Decided to try Youtube's new music recognition feature (on smartphones, the microphone next to the search bar), but really it's no better than shazam. You'd think it would search for the fingerprints of songs using their own videos, but really I think it uses the same databases as the other music recognition apps.

For example, the song "soon the queen will come our way", got recognized as Sam Smith - Too good at goodbyes.

I can't help but feel a little weird about this being the thread to break the news about this.

The timestamp is 16:16, I don't know if this was already known but bocpages says no, so I'm gonna say it's my first BOC find.

Just realized that the Dreamer's Cloth track sounds very close to Stars of the Lid's Music for Twin Peaks Episode #30, Part 1. That is all.

A new and interesting album compilation from Ace Records by St Etienne's Bob Stanley has 'Prospect - Paul Hart' as one of the tracks...I was playing a couple of random samples and this one made me immediately think of BOC - SXT as this is approx 28 mintues in.

This song always struckt me as being one of their best short ones, ever since I've first heard it live, during the Societas X Tape stream.

The mbv inspired, shoegazy sound, is just a heavenly experience to me, as I love loveless so much, and I was obsessed with it for years before I discovered BOC! I would love to hear something from their shoegaze period, which I belive was around their Play By Numbers release, and who knows, maybe it was recorded back then?

Moz and I expanded on the SxT wiki page. We added lyrics.

Anymore dots to connect?

In Diving Station thread I mentioned some sampling rate oddities and easter eggs that can be found in here. Probably most obvious one is:

Sped up Egberto Gismonti track - after the track plays in its normal speed it plays again but super fast, along with samples from Man Who Skied Down Everest (plus there is another sample in there which I couldn't decipher). To get the Egberto track to its original speed you need to resample it to 8849 Hz, height of Mt. Everest. Not only that but there is some stuff in spectogram that oddly looks like mountain peaks.

BCO track was found by BloostMedia https://www.youtube.com/@BloostMedia

I found the Le Gun using https://audiotag.info/. Both of those are on the same label Lost Frog Productions, adjacent cat numbers lf063 and lf064. We checked other unids on audiotag as well but no luck so far.

What I found interesting is that these follow a game of "Associations" as well. BCO track is off an album called Things Fall Down. Track before is about Challenger disaster. Track after it is by Fausto Papetti which is possibly a reference to the inventor Faust Vrancic famous for constructing a first parachute.
Want To Sleep? is off a space themed album which includes documentary samples referring to rockets and early space programme.

I noticed it before but now I am convinced that there is a pioneer undercurrent throughout this mix.

I must say it also feels weird to type BCO instead of BOC...
