My response to TheStatPow

Post by Radiobuzz »

Coming from this thread that got locked up in order not to derail the discussion, which is a reasonable action btw. But I didn't wanted his reply to be left hanging.

TheStatPow, I don't know where you're from but I can tell you're either from the US or somewhere in Europe who thinks 'the world' is the bubble you live in. So I'm not sure why exactly you're talking about 2016, and I'm not sure if you think the world was ruled by the crazy right up until that point, which of course is completely false. I was about to write a long response talking about the story in the Latinamerican region but my guess is it won't matter much, and in any case you should be able to read about yourself assuming you're interested in improving the endless ignorance your post manifests. The right always brings poverty to the people, is what they do best (other than capturing ignorant people such as yourself by capitalizing on their lack of knowledge). This is not a discussion about human rights, it's simply about giving power to people who say they will work for the people and all they're after is getting richer and more powerful. I should know because in my country we are currently ruled by a crazy ass right winger who is in love of scumbags such as Trump, Elon Musk or Bolsonaro, and the only reason he won the election was because he lied all through his campaign, even creating fake news with AI. This of course is only possible because the majority of people are so brainf*cked by the internet which are unable to distinguish between reality and fiction (people are discussing if the earth is flat for f*ck sake).

Anyway I'm rambling now. Hope this post finds you, I probably won't be responding because I'm not going to waste any more of my time with you. You can go on continuing to inform yourself on above top secret or whatever sh*t source you're getting your 'facts', just know it makes you look like an idiot.

Love.

Came here to say that yeah, the "You bitchy people took over after 2016 and totally ruined the internet and family values." comment was wildly out of touch and embarrassing. Unless you're talking about far right conservatives and alt right reactionaries. They loveeee to "bitch" all of the time about frankly, everything. Provacatours and grifters abound.

Since we're letting that post cool down, I'd also like to give TheStatPow a warning here. Be respectful and carry on.

I am sick of Arvy's incendiary posts. I wish that the moderators would consider permanently banning him.

And what would be the problem with that? You should try it if you're so eager, no one here is going to judge you. Well except for TheStatPow but he's a moron.

Between your post in the TH locked topic and this? Banned for 6 months. You barely post anyhow.

There have been many discussions about a permanent Arvy ban. We're also tired of it.

Y'all should really question why you get so riled up over a few letters, written in a specific order, by strangers on the internet.
That's the real culprit here. Too many fucks are given.
There are three possibilities in life: to be something, nothing or everything. In the first there is suffering, in the second there is peace and in the third there is happiness and love."

I could argue that indifference is fascism's accomplice.

Western society is built on, and has been largely successful because of, the twin concepts of the community and the nuclear family. Over the last fifty years, the core upon which our society has been built has been eroded, in one way or another, by a variety of forces. What you consider those forces to be coincides with your personal beliefs. To conservatives, those forces are the irreligious and those who live nontraditional lifestyles. To liberals, those forces are the religious and those who uphold traditional lifestyles. Accordingly, we have seen an increase of strife and calamity in our society that exists in direct correlation with the erosion of our society, regardless of the source. How you view Tomorrow's Harvest has a lot to do with how you view this breakdown of modern society. I believe, as I think many others do as well, that in the world depicted in Tomorrow's Harvest, we will have to return to the concepts of community and the nuclear family that held societies together for centuries in order to survive. Because Mike and Marcus are adults with families that grew up in traditional households, I would argue that this interpretation of Tomorrow's Harvest is accurate.

Mayhaps Western Society is an abject failure. Hell with a history of imperialism, I'd say history says all versions of civilization in this form tend to fail. We don't need to build a model of understanding through dogmatic peripherals like Christianity, and etc. as an end all for the fixes that a society needs, but yeah maybe it is a useful way to diagnose these systemic issues. I think the brothers that make BoC are criticizing deeper futilities in being human beings. One could argue that we as a species are a failed experiment of nature. Maybe that's what they're expressing? The best and worst things co-exist together, and maybe the worst and most amazing aspects of humanity aren't necessarily so distinguished, and perhaps it's the reflection between the polarity of the two that really draws out a propper perspective on humanity, where it came from, and where it's going.
