Yeah man the guys probably busy and got much better things to do, I'll give him some time. I can wait another 22 years for an answer!

It's one of my favourites ever, It makes me feel good not bad!
But it wouldn't be the only unsettling thing on Geogaddi, If it really is supposed to be a 'bad' frequency

It's like 5G..i dunno the theory is there but prob pseudo science. In saying that.. Satanic rituals are a sort of pseudo science too.

I've managed to get the first part "Geogaddi" but I can't recreate the second part on my phone, The app just isn't powerful enough to process it

Does anyone else hear it or is it just me?

Just to clarify it sounds to me like "Jog-Addi" as opposed to "Geo-Gaddi"
Like Geog as in Geography

Also, I imagine diving station as being the dandelion in the contraption, rising to the surface. A very strange thing for a deep sea creature.

All I can really say about this topic is that they took a sound of some kind, I couldn't say what, and then placed an LFO on it that controls the volume of the sound. If I had to guess, I would say this a sample being played back. Throughout the song, they're turning the knob to change the LFO frequency up and down, you can hear it self-oscillate a little at some points. The range of the frequency is going to be really low, LFOs typically only run from 0Hz to maybe 1-2kHz. There's not a lot of self-oscillation going on, so in this song it's going to be pretty low frequencies.

If you can find a way to "de-modulate" the sound then you could hypothetically hear the original sample. It's the same method of modulation as AM radio, but in this case, it would be like a radio station broadcasting on a super low frequency that's moving around a lot. It would be very difficult to pull this off, but maybe not impossible. You would also have to find a way to remove the piano as well. Could be possible now with AI tools.

As for the frequency printed on the LP, if I had to guess I would say this is the frequency of the numbers station from Gyroscope, but I don't have much in the way of evidence to back that up.

Once the track is sped up the piano completely disappears, All you can hear is speech and radio tuning sounds

Looks like the Ringway Manchester video has landed, you can find it here:

Firstly, some of the numbers in the "instructions" are off. Playing the track at 162.225kHz (note, kHz not Mhz) results in a track that is 23.5 seconds long, not 2.3 seconds long. An easy way to play the track at that 23-second speed is in Amadeus Pro on the Mac, choose the Sound -> Characteristics menu, set the Sampling Rate to 162225 Hz and enable the Don't Resample checkbox.

Playing it back 10x faster than that (which would be 1622.25kHz, or 1.62225Mhz), you get the sound in the video above, which supposedly sounds like "Geogaddi Come In Over". But you can't play at that speed directly (most audio interfaces are limited to 192kHz playback). I got to the 10x faster speed by taking the recording set to 162.225kHz, resampling it down to 16.222kHz, then playing it back again at 162.225kHz.

I didn't bother with splitting the track in two, reversing it, pitching segments down etc etc. I don't see any reason why any of that would be necessary. And I'm not even convinced there's a voice anyway. If there is, it sounds like heavy ring modulation has been applied.

However. Doing this, I could sort of hear the phrase "Geogaddi Calling, Come In, Over"... which is annoying, because the video didn't mention the word "calling". And "calling" was the clearest of all the words to me. And the waveform does seem to look a bit like a spoken voice - even more so if you invert one of the channels and collapse to mono, which seems to get rid of some of the tinkling high notes.

Honestly, I think this is a wild goose chase. But I like the idea that the volume envelope of the whole song may have been shaped by a slowed down spoken phrase. That's not a trick I think I've heard of being done before.

Anyway, there's a good chance people here will also like Ringway Manchester's other videos on radio oddities & number stations, so it's worth checking out.

Ok, so... I've been trying to formulate a reply to this thread and it's difficult. Here's an attempt.

First of all, I want to give major credit to luminousdusk for his dogged determination to solve some intertwined Geogaddi mysteries that have been speculated on, but not seriously investigated until now, thanks to him.

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical that there was a voice message buried deep in "Diving Station", but since I never bothered to follow the instructions he found to reveal said message, I never said anything. In fact, I was more interested in what the 162.225MHz note on side 6 was all about.

That said, at this time, I feel that luminousdusk was really on it as far as the voice message goes. Once you hear it, I think it's very hard to dismiss it as just random noise that an overly active imagination can interpret as an intentional message that isn't really there. It may not be "Geoggadi, come in, over", but "Geogaddi" and some other words likely are there.

As far as 162.225MHz, right now I'm inclined to believe that it is indeed tied to "Magic Window" and is a shout out to Thomas Bearden's theories of certain frequencies opening up alternate dimensions. Both the track title and frequency range do seem to correlate nicely.

Lastly, Lewis' (Ringway Manchester) video was a wonderful surprise. After suggesting to luminousdusk that he contact him and see if he was interested in investigating further, I held out some hope of a response, but not too much. And after weeks and weeks of no word, I assumed that was that. The fact that luminousdusk kept on it, gave Lewis all the information he had and convinced him that it was something worth looking into is fantastic. The YT video provides a good summary of some of the mysteries BoC fans have been pondering over for years. So, again, thank you, luminousdusk.

I welcome people to continue this discussion, be it critical, affirmative, or otherwise.

As mentioned in the video, the range in Bearden's "theory" is 150-160 KHz. Even assuming both Warp and BoC missed mixing up MHz with KHz, the frequency is still outside the window by 2.225MHz. In that case, they might as well call the track Magic Window Frame. Personally, I think that is too much of a stretch and we are still missing something.

I'll bite. Sampling rate is probably the way to go, but only if it is indeed a mistake. Anyone tried to play it through a sdr decoder/demodulator? Radio activity can be recorded on .wav files with much larger range, imagine the recording of entire radio wave spectrum in one big audio file that goes up to very high frequencies. In such cases a special kind of software/hardware is needed to downsample and decode that stuff to hearable frequencies. But how could that link to this? I don't know.

Why just Diving Station? I mean it is kinda an obvious choice for where could something be hidden but we also have Dawn Chorus, You Could Feel The Sky and Corsair on that side as well, and these get ignored?

To be honest I think the buried thing is just this, I already posted it in some topic years ago.

Sample rate wise, it is much more reliable method of slowing down and speeding up tracks when needed, if one has a clue of some sort. Boc are no strangers to this as well. There is stuff in SxT that deals with up/downsampling, but I won't tell what it is just yet. Anyone else picked up on that as well?

I have always, always assumed the album was titled Geog-Addi as in Geography + Addition, school subjects, 4 letters each, just because of all the geography and maths references, nature documentary refs etc, so it's cool to actually hear something like this now!
