Personally i just see the pioneer plaque stuff as yet another bit of imagery from the era they're invoking with their music. A straightforward "space" album would be a bit too corny and on the nose for a band like BOC

Sure, all these years later we are probably reading too much into the plaque. And yes, if the album was entitled "Space album by BoC", we would all cringe a bit. I remember reading a critic describe AFX's SAWV2 as a soundtrack to a "haunted spaceship." Plenty of revered artists have explored the space theme, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to hear the Broz take on it.

The nuclear banner didn’t result in an album directly related to nuclear wars, but rather indirectly hinting to an unstable world. In that regard I see the nuclear banner a great metaphor for Tomorrow’s Harvest.

Apply this to the Pioneer Plaque now. It doesn’t have to be directly related to space, but indirectly I believe we will yet again see in hindsight it’s a fitting choice for what LP5 is all about.

They don’t choose these banners randomly.

One possible idea. I know it was Voyager and not Pioneer, but there was a golden record on that probe. A record with what could be considered some of Earth's greatest songs. A boxset if you will...

It feels like we're starting to see the bigger picture and with each movement the zoom is getting smaller.
