Slightly, I guess...I was already a nature-y kinda person, it comes from living In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country. Hahah..But yeah.... 8) Hoodies/tuques ('beanies') rule...in the winter.

I actually can't think of anything I haven't been influenced by. A short list though: a lifetime of camping, numbers stations/general radio noise, field recordings, overheard conversations, cryptography, Forteana and other mysteries, travelling, people and their ways.

I am very appreciate of the life I've lived so far, the places I've been and people I've met. Even the crappy parts have served to inspire me. I definitely feel like BOC are a lot like a lot of the people I know and there's a nice feeling of distant kinship.

Charles Fort was the man. Awesome legacy. I could read Fortean Times all day.

Also re: the original topic, maybe it's not influence so much as recognition. When I first listened to BOC it brought back a lot of my old interests.

A toque is neccessary for me though man, Washington state uniform.

Tuques help control my ever-so-long hair in the winter months. 8)

Running treadmills. I don't know why. I think it's just the way the human body moves that fascinates me and having it run in one place looks cool. Fish-eye lens are also neat.

People give me inspiration. Certain words also give me a small level of inspiration when constructing music.

Hanging around getting stoned in the abandoned boatyard and derelict train station in my town at 4/5 am during the summer, watching the sun rise.

I know that sounds posey as fuck, but I don't care :P . That's some of the weirdest, most beautiful atmosphere I've ever experienced: It's full daylight but nobody's awake except you... surrounded by broken down boats, broken down buildings and train carriages. I'd love to visit far enough north to see season-long days (I live on the East coast of Scotland)

You are right about that, I didn't spot this non BoC related topic in the wrong section before, so I moved it... No worries, the content remains untouched :D

I don't make music but when I like to sew and write stories and poems and I make movies in my head. Mostly people inspire me, strangers and family. I love riding the city bus and watching the interesting, and crazy, people.
The weather also inspires me.. this is me in my thinking hat-

It doubles as an excellent warm hat for our cold Wisconsin winters!

Yes I get it quite a lot. If someone mentions a certain word or sentence sometimes it triggers memory's.
