Lifelong Star Wars and Boards of Canada fan here. I've perpetually wondered why people hate on anything creative. What a waste of energy. Save it for actual war, violence and poverty. There's enough of that to go around, and it's not going to get better by being mad at a film franchise. But hey, I'm just watching my country descend into literal fascism in realtime.

As someone of their generation, I can tell you that 99% of boys were into OG Star Wars. It permeated every nook and cranny of our lives. Most of us hated the prequels, mind, if that helps.
