I know its a speculation thread, i would veer more towards them being inspired by the concept of AI as a theme rather than using it or with it messing with their minds.

Yes. And I think this is what changes they are making now to the album. To make it more simple, yet elegant. It will be more beautiful than ever

This is a speculation thread. I am sure I have the right to speculate that there is no new album without the need for common insults that are unfounded.

I’m not expecting Warp to fold but they are a business, so it wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever to have a box set and a new album ready to release soon and not have cashed in sooner by releasing the old material at some point in the past few years.
And if there is still a box set planned it would be likely Warp would want to leave it a couple of years after the new album in order to maximise profits

I mean come on. Its 2025 nobody makes money in music anymore. Also, their new line up is also atrocious. I can't imagine anybody really buying this music. Everyone is just waiting for the OG's to drop albums (which as observed here, they rarely do). I'd wager that profit is 98% Aphex Twin, 1% Boards Of Canada. Probably getting paid each time a god damn Aphex Twin track has been used in an instagram reel. Boards Of Canada included.
