It’s fitting that BoC referenced cult like behaviour throughout their output. They even mimicked belonging to a cult (they don’t). They’ve likened music that has come from cults and what we have here is a cult with no sermon from their leaders.
I wish they would release something just to keep you all happy for a bit. But they’re not so… Go home now?

I guess the speculation has reached its end. What now? What do we speculate on now if boards of canada are not scratching the itch. The prices of bread and milk? A void is emerging in my life that must be filled.
This year, we noticed that Apple Music, unlike all other digital platforms, listed Twoism EP with a release date of August 15, 1995. Note that Apple Music only requires a full yyyy-mm-dd release date format for releases after 2000. Of course, only the label can make this change. I find it remarkable that they didn't just enter August 1995, as everywhere else. A full date was not mandatory.
This effectively means that August 15 of this year marks the 30th anniversary of Twoism. You could feel the three decades of BoC.
In any case, this is a great milestone. I would be surprised if I don't hear anything about it from either BoC, Warp, Bleep, or the press. Talking about press, I can already imagine the headlines where they link BoC's three decades spanning career to a potentially new album.
They deserve appraisal for 30 years of great music.
