Wet, rainy and dark autumn is probably my favourite time of the year. Like I'm in some kind of film. Very calming.
In the contrary, sunny dry days usually give me maniac depressed feeling. It almost hurts to have a such bright vibes.

I get you. Last few days have been incredibly dull. Absolute blissvitriolie wrote:Wet, rainy and dark autumn is probably my favourite time of the year. Like I'm in some kind of film. Very calming.

Re: Depression
Getting meds can be so much pain the ass to get here. Without going to psychiatrist. You also should take in the account that it can go on you medical history record, which can later hinder the ability to get the job you want.
Anyway, avoid alcohol at all if you feeling you are really down. Eventually you escape the self harm circle. The time is important. But the depression is something you basically have to learn how to live. It mainly because the world outside pretty fucked, and you personally can make your life worse choosing wrong paths.
I think the best place you can get, if you feel good enough, to help others to feel better.

Re: Depression
It is crazy how sometimes the simplest things can bring on the sadness.
Re: Depression
Well its here again. Was hoping my new meds would take care of it but I feel like rotting away in a ditch somewhere.
This will pass.
This will pass.
Throw away your smartphone.
Re: Depression
It will though, for sure. Hope you ride it out smoothly
Re: Depression
In my experience, new meds can make things worse before they make it better. Nobody told me this and I ended up a blubbering mess in the doctors surgery many years ago.
Hope you're ok Cupz.

Not to be obtuse but I rec getting into good simple cooking hobby locally sourced ingredients try all sorts of new recipes -- we all have our lousy problems, everyone, but over years have found cooking food and getting into doing a thoughtful job about it to be MOST rewarding in many ways and also an exercise where/when I truly lose myself in and not thinking about sad and bad things and also bringing others joy in sharing

Re: Depression
I am in remission, thanks to a regimen of cymbalta and a controlled diabetes (ozempic triggered a cascade of kicking addictions out of My life, most notably alcohol).
I am still on meds and I will be for the days I have to live, but it is such a blessing despite the obvious side effects of SNRI’s
Exercise, go to your therapy, take your meds.
I wish I could say there are other ways that work as well or better but I cannot.
I promise, the best is yet to come!
Hang in there!
