My hope: there will be several more mysterious archival releases via anonymous sources to come.
My guess: ‘Acid Memories’ Christmas Eve 2026 (if we’re good).

Sorry, I forgot this isn’t the speculation thread.

I do wonder two/three thingsAlvin wrote:My hope: there will be several more mysterious archival releases via anonymous sources to come.

1- which songs of R35TT are from Acid Memories and Hooper Bay
2/~3- what the names are of the untitled R35TT and live songs
~If you can be told what you can see or read, then it follows that you can be told what to say or thïnk.~

I’m convinced A04 is actually “Slap Your Mammy” by Boomer.everythingyoudoisorange wrote:2/~3- what the names are of the untitled R35TT and live songs

thank you
and especially to Boards of Canada
Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
I've got to this very late - what a fantastic present.
Part of my wonders if this is a way of the bros releasing the much-discussed 'Bocset' in as low-key a way as possible, but tbh I'm not really minded to dig into it.
Ultimately I'm not bothered how OP got these tracks and who from. They sound completely legit to me, and I'm very happy to have them - especially 5.9.78, it's so gorgeous.
Thanks babylulu, this is awesome.

Maan that modulation wheel was left all the way up on the keys for northern plastics, I'd never noticed that wobble before!

Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
Having such a high quality version of BMX track made something stand out to me: the high-pitched percussion that it has (in other words, the bicycle spoke sounds) was also used in the track Hi Scores from the eponymous EP. Seems like even if satisfactory-for-public-release song ideas never seem to entirely materialize, they’ll often reuse individual elements from previous songs in ways they find more interesting.

OTv2 "coming in about 20 minutes" RE: Reddit.
I will shit myself if anything older gets uploaded. Hearing 5D in lossless would make my entire life.

Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
I am listening to it now, enjoying this Saturday evening very much! "Trapped" seems to be slowed down on the BOC remix from what I remember (and I'm old enough to recall when it was new).
Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
A day for the history books. At least the BOC history books! Thank you Sam!
Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
Love all the poorly aged comments on the first couple pages.

Okay...now...wait for fog machine.
Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
Today is a huge day indeed! I am crossing my fingers and hoping that perhaps Sam could upload these somewhere on Google Drive/anywhere besides on YouTube, though... either way I'm ecstatic, these past couple months have been nothing short of eventful for us, that's for sure.

I use Firefox and have a video downloader installed as an extension. I tend to download stuff if I think it might not be around for long.
Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
I do the same. I use yt-dlp, and i have a few "classic" BOC videos downloaded (and backed up), in case they go away.DFD21 wrote:I use Firefox and have a video downloader installed as an extension. I tend to download stuff if I think it might not be around for long.
Re: sɐɯʇsᴉɹɥɔ ʎɹɹǝɯ
Good idea. There was an excellent video of "Alpha and Omega" featuring the footage from the Upshot–Knothole Grable nuclear artillery test in Nevada that I enjoyed very much when I was first getting into BOC around 2009. But it's been deleted from Youtube. A pity, it was great.DW wrote: I do the same. I use yt-dlp, and i have a few "classic" BOC videos downloaded (and backed up), in case they go away.
