Someone on reddit found this video in relation to the Osho cult:
It’s an eery watch and the bit from 0:55 to 1:45 sounds very BoC – reminds me of Wildlife Analysis.

also the music starting at 25 minutes into this video
is pretty much BoCish. sounds like the mysterious track at the end of the societal x tape.

Wow, this video is so incredibly Boards of Canada, their entire audio and visual aesthetic in one.Omikron wrote:Someone on reddit found this video in relation to the Osho cult:

I'm really getting into documentaries about cults this week.
Starting watching the WACO Netflix drama too. I can see why BoC find them so inspiring.
Lovely, this is really special too. Nice to see positive beautiful things can come of religion, not just evil, death and conflict.dolochov wrote:also the music starting at 25 minutes into this video

Something about cults that just is so damn interesting. I'm watching the new Netflix doc about the guy who followed up Warren Jeffs (Doc: Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey) from the Latter-Day Saints, and the follow upper is just as bad (Doc: Trust me: The False Prophet), it's so weird how these people get so brainwashed.momatt wrote:Wow, this video is so incredibly Boards of Canada, their entire audio and visual aesthetic in one.Omikron wrote:Someone on reddit found this video in relation to the Osho cult:

I've watched about everything there is about WACO as well ofcourse, mainly because of Boards of Canada, but those old interviews etc. are amazing as well. And ofcourse, Jim Jones man, what a coward. But it's all just so interesting hahaha.

Re: GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC PART II
Based on (absoutely nothing except for): the early-90s cypherpunk aesthetic of the posters, the fact that I'm an old bastard and having a personal massive dig back into early-90s ambient techno; and that the Waco seige was 1993...
I'm gonna call that this new album (lets hope it actually is a new album not a flexidisc subscription) has a warped cypherpunk theme that's horribly disfigured from our old optimistic futurism into something utterly bleak, mass-AI-controlling, infinite-scrolling 15-minute prison-cities, and otherwise fucked up

The 33rd anniversary falls this Sunday... not a conventionally commercial day to release, but 33 is one _hell_ of a number! https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Freemasonry
