Id like to think/believe what I'm seeing in the video is:

A camera rolling slowly backwards on a dolly, while spinning/Rotating.
Shooting at 7 Large Lcd hexagon panels on a stage. (Think, Radioheads live use of large screens during performances)
Sometimes it looks like the image is being projected from the hexagons.
Imagine its a stage backdrop.

First time I heard it I thought it was from one of those old old samplers, like the Fairlight, you know? It didn't sound quite live. I need to go looking through the universe of sound archives and see if there's a koto sample in there.

I've been thinking the same thing! I could see it also being from an old Ensoniq or Akai sample library, or another 80s/90s sample library. Of course, they could have just sampled it themselves and processed it thru a hardware sampler. I listened thru some Mirage samples but nothing leaped out.

I had a little play with "Northstar Harp" from Universe of Sounds and it was quite close but ehhh... I'm doubting it now lol. Who knows.

Whatever it is, it's beautiful and it fits so well there, it does remind me of something that would be on some spiritual music recording from the 80s.

Out of the whole video, this hits me the hardest, with the worshippers footage coming next, and that part of the track… Invokes feelings only they can do.

I don't, but I'd also very much like to know.

There's something about this that feels very on-brand and yet more explicit than ever before for BoC's influences. A distillation.

I think I said something to this effect elsewhere but I stand by it, I think we're more into the Cult Era than ever before and I'm all for it. Beam me up to the afterlife, space daddy.

With both Record Store Day on Saturday and today being the 28th anniversary of MHTRTC's release...rather curiously, nothing else has dropped. Not even a snippet of code or clue, as far as I'm aware.

This seems to indicate what was postulated in the podcast - this release is more about missing information and "having faith" vs. the information-dense puzzle to solve that led up to Tomorrow's Harvest.

Two key dates following Tape 05's release just came and went, with radio silence. Interesting.

Unless we missed something! Actual radio signals included...

Someone posted this over on Reddit and I have to say it's quite incredible how similar it sounds, pretty much the exact same chord progression but a note higher...

What a slow-burner !! Must have been an influence indeed.
However, Tape 05 is even better produced and stands out by adding a dose of love, empathy and tenderness that touches the listener deeply.
