I will just say, there's an (apparent) quote on that Reddit thread from the guy whos CD it was "ive unfortunately come to the conclusion that im no longer going to upload the whole cd track list(as advised by someone who I can't say who) but in order to keep give you guys something to be happy about I will rip just one track and upload it. sorry for getting your hopes up. *This was not my decision."

It's true Reddit randos jumped on the guy, but this quote sounds a lot more to me like someone official had a bit of a word with him behind the scenes.

It is a totally disappointing outcome for fans, _but_ I agree it's also likely that he'd have had to ask his dad about it anyway - since he had no CD player/drive - and likely end up being asked not to share any more regardless of whether the reddit thread was all sunshine and rainbows. hey-ho! we live in anticipation of a bocset proper :¬)

The owner of these files posted this find on the r/boardsofcanada subreddit but was essentially bullied into reclusion by the Reddit users who were skeptical of its authenticity and essentially harassed him off the site.

These three mp3 files were all that reddit user shared to another reddit user who pmed him of which was then sent to Mark.

There was another folder labeled "Miscellaneous Lost Tracks 2001" with unlabeled 13 tracks.

It is my opinion that the members of the r/boardsofcanada subreddit were responsible for their reclusion.

If this was truly old but unreleased material, someone absolutely could have contacted him and said please don't upload. That makes the most sense TBH. The Brothers hate their unreleased stuff being leaked. They end friendships over it apparently

When I went to the reddit thread being discussed, there's still someone's shared folder where they saved some uploads from that time. Just three files but they don't match the three now at rareboc. There is no Echus.

After listening to the soundboard recordings I honestly prefer listening to the live room recordings. Still, very cool to hear.

By the way, to ANYONE who says they were fake, I suggest they look at the two files side by side with any modicum of forensic analysis and one will see they are completely legitimate recordings of the show. I would say to those jokers, PROVE ME WRONG!
