I don't think this was a leak. The data came from the Bleep API, which is something the website needs. The API allows products to be displayed on the website.

Why i don't think it was a leak: They updated the API with new info (new products), and the website (Bleep) is probably cached in Cloudflare (a CDN provider), so it took a few minutes for the website to catch up to the new data.

Being BOC fans, i'm sure people were monitoring the API data (which is public). That's why we found out first.

Disclaimer: I'm a software developer, so i work with these things. Did plenty of app/websites roll outs in my time.

Yep, this. Plus opening up the pre-order about a month (both on Bleep and at indie stores, who all seem to have press notes from Warp) before release makes sense. I think we got spoiled by like 20 mins, but it was always gonna be today.

Hello everyone. I had an account on here ages ago, but forgot my old username and p/w so starting again. Exciting times!

Also, don't think the leak had anything to do with the reveal. After the 3pm update last week and the header changes at the same time today I was expecting the reveal to probably land around now.

Of course the leak had everything to do with the reveal today. There was a slow burn going— teaser, posters, tape, profile picture changes. Then the leak and all at once, title, cover, release date, tracklist, all with over a month to go. It’s unfortunate, but their plans were spoiled by sleuths going through Bleep’s api.

I was prepared to not look at anything if it did leak. Reddit begets terrible things.

Great suggestions to check out alternative pre-ordering sites...I just checked Bandcamp so I could prepare myself for the cost to get this in Canada, lol.

Unfortunately they don't have the T-shirt packages listed, but they did have a listing for the red deluxe edition...this is going to be my birthday present, so I'm after one/both of those tee's as well, haha. Just have to keep spamming F5 on Bleep I guess.
