Sorry, I can be dumb. Obviously, email collection led to receiving release announcement. But odd that registration is still part of the new webpage/announcement.

i've seen lots of people on the reddit saying "given how dark the world is..." and "we're in a shithole, so...", and while it may be true, i feel that maybe something which just re-affirms all that and tells you everything really is bad can't be that conducive to giving any kind of hope.

personally i feel like a hopeful album is what we need, but perhaps that's just what i want.

(also part of me wants to not have waited over a decade for 'nope, everything still shite in the world')
As dark as it undeniably is, I can't help but feel there's a transcendent side to it. Sort of an alchemical forged in the fires kind of thing, like the trials every person must pass through to reach paradise, you know?

That sounds worth holding out for.

same here; i don't have many doubts that the music will be good, but the art direction of this release is something that may need to grow on me (personally).

right, cos the ending of tape 05 really interested me. thinking about all the inclusion of the cult and religious imagery i'm wondering the more hopeful elements its incorporating are going to be presented in this divine, worshipping way. maybe it'll incorporate some elements of all previous 4 lps.

I'd expect to see one or two new photos in the media runup to May 29th, just as they did for TH.

Not dumb -- that's worth pointing out. The updated website has everything that the email from today had, but they still have 'register for first access', which, if there will be nothing more to access, is pointless.

Also funny that now the check box next to 'receive communications from warp records' is invisible (but still there).

I'm just thinking, is this going to be BoC's longest LP at 1hr 7 minutes? Just pips Geogaddi's infamous length.

My guess is, we will still probably hear some news about a listening party location, like for TH, and that's also what the first access is about.

Not only that, but a subscription implies recurring drops of some kind. They may go the route of dropping things piece-by-piece over time through that channel in lieu of a single boxset

So it may also be that Tape 05 was a tease for that half, the posters for Inferno

i forget, did MDG ever say a bocset was in the works? i've been on here for a long time just lurking and vaguely remember he mentioned something about a bocset some time ago. if he did, i fully trust mdg now given that he was trying to tell us that there really is something new in the works for years lol. if he says a bocset is in the works i believe him.

Definitely looking forward to the media rounds with some new interviews (if there's any music media left?!). Hopefully the good people at The Quietus are going to be included.

So... Tape 05. Could the track actually be Father & Son? Duration is almost bang on.

Couple things...

Tape 05 has got to be Father & Son. I'm surprised they didn't put that up as a track we could listen to right now. But, since they didn't, it means they don't want it to be known as the lead single. Something else is coming. Probably another video too.

BOC email went out around 9:50 EST
Warp email went out around 10:10 EST

I wouldn't say that signing up to their mailing list was "knowing first," so I wonder if they'll tell us about listening parties or something.

Bleep is so fucked that BOC switched the pre-order link on their official website to Bandcamp (I assume Bleep takes care of their Bandcamp too).

No ARG. Just an album and vibes. Honestly? I prefer it. Someone said that the ARG was just 2013-Present day and I agree lmao.
