Funny because 4 years ago is when I joined. :D

But today was my first logging of the year, and the first in 4 months, probably a new record since I joined. :P

Hello! Yeah it’s been awhile hope the community is good. Today is the day we’ve waited 13 years for. It’s finally here.

There's something really lovely about so many of us old guard appearing out the woodwork!

13 years since TH.... Remember when TH came out and we were all like "ah yes - the new album sounds bleak to reflect the bleak, dark times we were living in..." in 2013! That seems like some sort of social/political/cultural/economic golden age compared to right now!

Yeah! It's nice to be back again, I kind of felt like I... just didn't have much to contribute for a long time? I'm not sure what it was exactly. I was kinda off on my own journey.

Likewise - There seemed to be a bit of a demographic change (no shade/disrespect to anyone who joined around then! I'm sure you're all lovely!) that made me question what i was doing here a little. Plus, there was other stuff going on in the real world.

I think that's it for me too - same here, no disrespect intended to others - but there did seem to be some sort of changing-over of the group and vibe that didn't really feel... like a "fit" for me. Not that the boards here were ever a homogenous monolith to begin with, but you probably get what I'm getting at. Things do change, and it definitely isn't the only time a community I'm part of experiences an evolution that I feel kind of moves away from my... temperate zone. The words for this are hard to find, huh.

I totally get it. I felt the same, but that's ok right? It's healthy I think. Besides, I'm still in touch with almost everybody I'd like to keep in touch with, one or two exceptions aside. Heck, just yesterday I was chatting offline with Techboy Twoist, Rikkiebags, ADecentMan, Scyye. I frequently ping 2020k, yourselves...

Twoism may not be the massive part of my life it once was, but I'll always love it, for all it's foibles.

I’ve always appreciated the OGs welcoming people like myself who joined back in 2013 as a young lad with strong opinions.

Is anyone in THIS thread going to the New York listening party?

If I’m able to secure a ticket, yes.

I'm looking into it. It's my best option. If I get a ticket, hopefully I'll be in YOLO mode and just fucking do it.

I didn't end up getting one, but if either of you got one and SOMEHOW manage upon an extra ticket please let an old man know. I want to be friends with more Twoismers!

It's cool to see so many familiar names in this thread. I was in such a different place in life when I read them last
