why not the whole album, if u going to remaster it do the whole thang.
Please read the thread. By "remaster", I mean I'm replacing poor-quality Maxima tracks with higher-quality versions from other releases whenever there are better copies of the same tracks available, and mixing them to match the original Maxima.
you should remaster the entire original rather than splicing in tracks from other releases. it's not boc maxima anymore, but rather what you wish boc maxima to be.
Please read the thread. I'm not taking random tracks from other releases. I'm taking tracks that are on both Maxima and other releases, and putting the higher-quality one in there. The track listing is identical to the original Maxima; the only differences I've noticed in any tracks are the added sounds in Carcan and the different panning at the beginning of Everything You Do Is A Balloon.

EDIT: Also, I would love to be able to improve the audio quality of the remaining few tracks, but there's really not very much that I can do. They're distorted and overdriven and stuff...once that's been done, signal has been lost, you can't really get it back.

It's done! I just PMed it to everyone who seemed relatively interested. If I PMed it to you and you don't want it, just ignore it. Hopefully SoulSeek will do its job so I won't have to PM it to a ton of other people, but I don't mind sending it out some more if anyone else wants it.

It's not entirely perfect, but it's about as close as I could get it, and hopefully it'll be good enough that people won't complain to me about it. :p

(Also, to clarify once more just in case anyone's confused: I used recordings from other releases due to their higher audio quality. I did not add any new songs. The track listing is EXACTLY the same as the original Maxima.)

You win several internets, essel. By that I mean you're my hero! Thanks a ton, man. I'd never been able to get Maxima before, so all the original tracks on it eg. Chinook, Niagara, I haven't heard! Thanks for making this material easier to get ahold of.

Thanks everybody. I'm sure there will be someone eventually who'll want to complain about some aspect of it not being accurate enough, though, haha! There are a few small things, but I put enough time into it that I really didn't feel like changing them; hopefully no one but me will actually notice. <_<
