Ooft, well there we go. If anybody ends up with a spare for either of the London shows, let me know!
Re: The Lucky Ticket Holders
The same happened with the London session. Then it sold out while I was in the queue.niski wrote:the thing with the berlin one was that it stopped redirecting at 10:58, but it showed an error that the page is not available until approx. 11:02Omikron wrote:Do you remember the exact time that you clicked on the link? Whoever came up with that idea to do first come first served tickets on a platform that can't handle any kind of traffic should be sacked, and then shot, and then thrown in the sea.

Yes, what is the strategy here?Omikron wrote:Do you remember the exact time that you clicked on the link? Was it slightly before 11:00?Cyclosa wrote:Managed to get a ticket for the 9:15 Berlin show plus a shirt. Couldn’t be happier!

By the grace of god, and my good friend, I was able to get a ticket for London. Stone Nest looks cool. I never get tickets to these things so makes a nice change it's for my favourite band.

Urgh.
Me and Rikkiebags both got as far as tickets in baskets. Then it died. I know others had the same experience.
I know one lucky winner for Glasgow and another (hi Fugee) got into London via a mate of theirs. Otherwise....weeds.

Re: The Lucky Ticket Holders
Speaking for me, I opened tons of tabs and refreshed hundreds of times but the site kept crashing, even had a 404 error after adding the ticket to basket which was pretty heartbreaking. I got added to the queue eventually but kept opening new tabs anyway.Den wrote:Yes, what is the strategy here?Omikron wrote:Do you remember the exact time that you clicked on the link? My queuing tab redirected me when it hit 0, but was met with another 404 error once adding to basket. Out of desperation, I opened another tab at about 11:10am and the site loaded normally, I added a ticket and t-shirt, and it let me get through to payment confirmation, which finally worked.
I think it's pure luck to be honest, hope and pray.

Thank you. By opening tab do you mean clicking the ticket link again from the email?Skimming Stone wrote:Speaking for me, I opened tons of tabs and refreshed hundreds of times but the site kept crashing, even had a 404 error after adding the ticket to basket which was pretty heartbreaking. Don't think you can re-sell em I'm afraid. Tickets are personally named and ID needed as I understand it.

ahh man, I was choosing my tickets at 11:04 before the cloudfare error, and tried again 3 times unsuccessfully until they sold out...Skimming Stone wrote: Speaking for me, I opened tons of tabs and refreshed hundreds of times but the site kept crashing, even had a 404 error after adding the ticket to basket which was pretty heartbreaking. F*CK YEAH BERLIN 9:15 POSSE STAND UP!
Re: The Lucky Ticket Holders
Completely agree. Obviously I am bitter and wouldn't be complaining if I'd got a ticket, but I'd much rather lose in a lottery than lose because of a shitty tech fail.Wildfire wrote:Whoever came up with that idea to do first come first served tickets on a platform that can't handle any kind of traffic should be sacked, and then shot, and then thrown in the sea.
Re: The Lucky Ticket Holders
Just looking online at the venue. It really doesn't look that big. Capacity for maybe 100-ish people, possibly less if chairs are set up. Hardly a surprise they went so quickly if that's where it'll take place.

Thank you, Boards of Canada, thank you Warp, good luck NYC and LA (and Tokyo?), congrats everyone attending in Europe!! and "time heals" to everyone who tried and wasn't, lucky. In that order. After the 29th, I would really enjoy reading some longer form, personal, creative, descriptive! journal-ing from someone who gets to go. I can't. Write something long, heavy on details, shared here or elsewhere, for those who weren't as lucky and can't help taking it personal.

Re: The Lucky Ticket Holders
Yeah I got through the queue almost immediately but it was already sold out for the NYC venue. It seemed like it was not possible for it to sell it out in the few seconds that it took me to get into the queue so i am not sure what happened. It even said “Congratulations” while also indicating that it was sold out… Pfffft!
