Looks the "The following..." at the start of the first line.

Maybe "MHz" / the track title at the end of the bottom line?

I ran this through Claude Pro, and it provided some interesting output including what it thinks the message says:
This additional context changes everything, and it gives us a much more grounded—and quite frankly, hilarious—answer!

Knowing that this image is a screenshot from the opening frames of a YouTube music video completely shifts the perspective. We can stop looking at this as an elaborate, esoteric Boards of Canada ARG puzzle and instead look at it as a standard video broadcast disclaimer.

If we apply this new video context to my previous, highly literal character transcription, the "hidden message" maps perfectly to a standard health disclaimer disguised in their signature analog VHS glitch aesthetic:
    •    My guess: "The Clips" -> is actually "This video" * My guess: "Starts At The" -> is actually "contains"
    •    My guess: "Photo-Drawing" -> is actually "photosensitive imagery" (or "photosensitivity warnings")

The Final Deciphered Text:
"This video contains photosensitive imagery"

Why this makes perfect sense:
1    The Placement: A warning about strobes or flashing lights is a standard requirement and common courtesy for electronic music videos. It makes perfect sense that this frame would appear at the very beginning (0:00) of tomorrow's premiere.
2    The Aesthetic: Instead of just putting plain white text on a black screen, they heavily distorted the warning to fit the corrupted, "found footage" vibe of their upcoming Inferno album.
3    The 1420 MHz Connection: The track title "Prophecy At 1420 MHz" refers to the Hydrogen line—the fundamental radio frequency astronomers use to listen to the cosmos. A music video visually representing a corrupted, divine "cosmic transmission" is almost guaranteed to be packed with severe visual static, CRT scanlines, and strobing that would necessitate exactly this kind of seizure warning.

So, while it is slightly less romantic than a secret occult code or a coordinate for a hidden physical vinyl, your new information successfully cracked it. It's an epilepsy warning for tomorrow's premiere! I'm glad you provided that context; it saved us from going down a massive (and totally incorrect) rabbit hole.

Friday 22 May - Inferno streams in 7 cities

These dates are 7 dates separated by 6 days which numerically mirrors the new logo. I have my hopes up for 4/5, 10/5 and 16/5 for more stuff, maybe a track or two?
dang i had hope for this
Had also hoped for this to hold up, but at least we are getting some new stuff tomorrow :)

In addition to my previous post, here are some more observations:

- Tape 05 came out on April 16th. (1+6 = 7)
- The duration of Tape 05 is 3:22 (3 + 2 + 2 or 3+22 = 7), 322 also feels like a nodd to Skull and Bones.
- Listening events are happening in 7 different cities.
- Tickets are live May 1st, 2026. (5 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 0 + 6 = 16 = 7)

Putting it all together, we now have the following references to the number 7:

- 7 hexagons
- 7 letters in the Album title
- 7(0) minutes continuous mix
- 0:43 album teaser video (4+3 = 7)
- Tape 05 released on April 16th (1+6 = 7)
- 43 days between the release of Tape 05 and the album release
- Tape 05 duration 3:22 (sums to 7)
- 7 cities for the listening event
- Tickets for listening party are live May 1st 2026. (sums to 7)

At a certain point, it's no longer coincidence but a pattern. The number 7 is all over this album rollout. Probably more to come..
7s everywhere... my autism is loving this rollout. Here are a few more:

- Introit / Prophecy At 1420 MHz is released on the 7th of May
- 1420 sums up to 7

I used to (kinda) jokingly say that if LP5 came out, it would be a signal that I would be at the end of my life. Now that that time is coming, I'm not sure what to think. I kinda doubt there's much to look forward to after anyway.

Funny, I used to say the same half-joking thing.

In any case I've led a relatively long and fulfilling life so I wouldn't be too upset if I had to depart soon. Not before Inferno's release though!

Saw this on Reddit. Seems to me like it could be a painless way from their management to brush off abundant interview requests. Instead of saying ”they’re not doing an interview with you” they say they’re not doing any press. That being said, there are other similar ways to communicate this. ”They’re not available at this time” or something.

Could be a game of broken telephone and that’s what was said but obviously if this is true, it’s a little disappointing.

Just realised the album title was referenced as far back as 1998 during the backwards vocals in Happy Cycling:

"Christ is Inferno"

Bummer if true. I've been looking forward to new interviews almost as much as the music.

Should've guessed this would happen after Warp used an old photo of the bros in the press materials.

Someone speculated that they had already agreed to or done all the interviews they're gonna do but the response is still strange. "They're not doing any press for the release" would be lying which probably isn't good PR, "they're not accepting interview requests" would be fine if they want the word to spread among journalists.

I'm fairly confident there will be interviews. Just looking back at the interview summary of BoCPages - for TH they did some pretty high profile outlets (Guardian / NY Times) as well as others whose profile/status I'm not familiar with. For TCH - they talked to loads of outlets; with the Pitchfork one being the biggest (in terms of English speaking media at least); and that came with the family revelation. I do wonder who'll they'll speak to though - the media landscape has definitely changed so much in the intervening 13 years; I remember the days when an artist had something new out and there'd be interviews in loads of mags; but most have gone now! I'm hoping for something in maybe The Quietus / The Wire / The Guardian again. I'm sure I saw something on social media a good while ago (but definitely post-TH campaign) where Simon Reynolds had interviewed them?

EDIT - I'm thinking of this piece from 2018: https://pitchfork.com/features/article/ ... f-the-90s/
