It’s barely audible.
I also might be hallucinating, it has indeed been a psychedelic 36 hours.

Prophecy reminded me of this one:

Somehow Prophecy also reminded me of this track by Ulver:

Quick google says "introit" is Latin for "he enters". I'm sure someone's said so before, but I can't get it out of my head.

I was giggling this time it was some metaphor for detroit. I know how awful that place is but, to feature it as the opening to the inferno? To goodturquoise70 wrote:Quick google says "introit" is Latin for "he enters". I'm sure someone's said so before, but I can't get it out of my head.

It means to enter but it is specifically referring to the psalm or hymn that is played as the clergy enters Mass.
Re: 01. / 02. Introit / Prophecy At 1420 MHz
I like that too.
Maybe it’s intentional - of all songs The Color of the Fire in the first track of Inferno.johnstamos wrote:I noticed that immediately as well. Also the synths around 3:30 (of the video) sound like a pitched up 'Semena Mertvykh' to me.Den wrote:The mmmm Mmmm MMMMM at 1:02 in The Color of the Fire similar fragment to the part of the melody at around 28 seconds in Introit.

It is killing me that we haven't figured this out yet. I ran the .WAV through a stem splitter to try to isolate it, but turns out AI isn't smart.el Cerebro wrote:I wonder what the speech panned way deep into the left ear is saying, right when the flutes begin. Truly commendable sleuthing work. Just asked my brother about this. He has a religious studies PhD from Boston University and has worked directly with Dr. Nasr, both on research and at conferences/events. There is a reasonable probability he attended this lecture. Will report back with any interesting observations he has.apriorion wrote:You guys see this?

Most of our conversations circle back to music, God and consciousness. I'm hoping this piques his interest and we can nerd out together on it! If not there's always Twoism...
P.S. My brother's research specifically involves how music directly links the human body and mind to religious, spiritual and collective experience through ritual. He really should be a Boards fan but I digress!

Berlook November is all i can get from isolating it with eq. Sounds like the same voice as telepath, so its probably them messing around.2020k wrote:It is killing me that we haven't figured this out yet. When I get some time I’m gonna see if I can get it isolated even further in Audacity. I do firmly believe the tone and feel of it screams NASA, or ATC / pilot audio, etc.

Your brother’s research sounds fascinating, it would be very cool if he attended this lecture.Skytree wrote:Truly commendable sleuthing work. Just asked my brother about this. Imagine being that guy in the audience. 20+ years later your questions are BoC lyrics. Fucking WILD!

Let’s hope it stays that way…
Re: 01. / 02. Introit / Prophecy At 1420 MHz
I’ve listened to it dozens of times and the voice immediately sounded familiar to me. I thought I recognised a voice often associated with 80s anime (Albator, Goldorar, etc.) and French film dubbing. Maybe the voice of François Leccia.dana wrote:Here is the audio isolated:
As for the sample, I hear: “Tetrum… incantatoire”.
“Tetrum” is a form of the Latin adjective teter (or taeter), meaning hideous, abominable, repulsive, dreadful or foul.
Incantatoire is French for incantatory.
PS. The dots seems to make a heart shape, then it rather make a circle that looks like HAL from 2001 A Space Odyssey.
Re: 01. / 02. Introit / Prophecy At 1420 MHz
Or maybe : "Hé Tron, prends garde à toi" (from movie Tron?)
"Hey Tron, be careful"
Still sounds like French to me.
