Ah love how you managed to get a ticket! Good to know they went to good homes. Enjoy it mate![/quote]

Nice one. Thank you. Still rather pinching myself at the turn of events. I appreciate I was extremely fortunate to have ended up with a ticket. Reall (and I mean REALLY) looking forward to it now. Wonder if there'll be anything from the brothers before, during ot after the event?

Opened new account just to say lucky enough to get two London tickets in the 'lottery' just using my phone, more of less straight in smooth transaction. I could not believe it as no way expected anything knowing capacity and demand. Anyway if anyone from this forum wants to meet up / identify themselves let me know. I don't live far from London and will be taking the day off and absolutely will be making the most of it.

Aye, lurked a while myself! I was on the early boards and forums and whatnot, late 90s into the very early 00s when our family doubled from two to four in just under two years. Both sons diagnosed really quite early on as being at the severe/profound end of the Autism spectrum (this in the teeth of the Wakefield fiasco), so life, in pretty much every aspect that we had previously known it has been on "pause" for the last 20 or so years. This "do" will be my first night out since (thinks..........) probably White Stripes at the winter Gardens in Blackpool, early 2004! I'll be travelling down from Cumbria for the show, dop me a message if you would like to meet up or (my absolute speciality) nod awkwardly from a safe distance?
That is a class response, thank you, let's do that we can nod at each other. Allot of life has happened since TH.
No worries. After the (totally avoidable) cock-up of last Friday's ticket fiasco, I'm really starting to look forward to this now. Hoping to have my tiny mind blown.

London homies, I'll be going with my friend but would love extra company, so feel free to DM me and maybe we can grab a beer beforehand.

i also got one, very happy about it. seems to have been pure luck - I actually had shit phone signal at the time and felt like it was taking me ages to get through the form, including having to go back to my emails to copy my code again, but I guess I must have refreshed the "gateway timeout" at the exact right moment by chance.

everyone pulling their phone out and filming for precisely five minutes is totally ludicrous, literally can't think of anything I'll want to be doing less than looking at my phone at the time. and that's coming from Mr Internet Era. like, it was hard enough to get in - watch it with your eyes????

Fair enough. To each their own, right? I suppose I'm an old enough git to be Mr Pre-Internet Era - taking photos at Glastonburys of the 80s with my nan's Kodak Disc camera (remember them, anyone?), then in the 90s with those five quid cardboard/plastic efforts you posted off to get developed. I do agree that the proliferation of phone cameras has added a dimension of "annoying swarm of fireflies" to most/all concert footage these days. I'll use the 5 minutes we've been alloted to take some photos and try to do the setting, ambience and music some justice with what I'm hoping will turn out to be some half decent shots. Then again, I may just be too overwhelmed with the occasion and find that I just can't be arsed with it. I'll play it by ear.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it before, but I found out today that a registration system followed by a lottery has been set up in Tokyo. It’s rather odd that this doesn’t apply to the other venues. Since I wasn’t able to get a ticket for Berlin, I would have found this method fairer and better in hindsight ;)

Take this with a grain of salt but I wanna recall hearing that ticket lotteries like this for events is a big thing in Japan, so my guess is that Warp really had no say in it.

Tho I do think past Aphex Twin listening sessions were lotteries weren't they?

My first post on twoism. Thanking god today that I got a ticket for Shibuya. I hope we all don’t bring phones and party like it’s 2001.

I have been both not paying attention to BoC news and also on a wonderful vacation, so I missed the opportunity for tickets. Maybe I'll just go rave outside the church in NYC.

Just a thought--not sure how to actually achieve this. Obviously someone should record the first five minutes and it would be great to have pictures of the event. But I don't want to be on my phone, and it would be nice to not see everyone with phones out documenting the occasion. I'll mention this to my fellow NYC ticket holders in the discord, but maybe we just have a few people do the documenting work so everyone else can just fully absorb the moment.

I almost never bring my phone to music events. I will this time for ticketing purposes, but it’ll be off and put away the second I step inside the venue. I firmly believe in the absence of phones is key to fully immersing oneself in the music. Turn them off people.

I’ll likely use my phone to take pictures before it starts or during the first few minutes

Oh it's in record stores only. Sad.

Wanted to check and see if anyone received the actual tickets yet? For LA, it says we will get them before the event but I want to make sure I have them in hand before I make the road trip
