Not believing anything unless / until it's confirmed, but this would be a great fit.

More importantly we need something from Inferno on at least one of the stations in GTA 6.

Can confirm that Backrooms track is on the album, it's the one talking about an embryo gestating (not sure of trackname)

About the title... Inferno. If it also implied 'infer no' (meaning the opposite of 'infer yes') I wonder what we would be 'inferring no' about?

Nah it's about being "in ferns" bro. The whole album is a commercial for a new talk show the bros are about to launch in the style of "Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis" but instead of between they're surrounded by those ferns and instead of interviewing people they're just staring silently at the camera

Don't believe me? Here's another ad they made for that show a while back

Me as well - my original order email said it was expected to be shipped May 26th and I got the dispatch email at 1:55am my time - woohoo!

Just adding that my CD from Bandcamp also is dispatched, tracking not telling me anything yet. They wrote me a nice note saying this makes it too late to cancel (I was going to buy CD+continuous bundle instead thru Bleep). Nice, friendly surprise was Bleep/Warp gave them a 50% off code they included in the email if I still want to pay for that exclusive mix. If it's anything I can't just make myself, I probably will.

Oh you already made the joke? I missed it. Ferns are great though. I was told as a kid that ferns used to exist during dinosaur times and they used to be huge until they shrank over "deep time". I don't know if that's true but I always think about it when I see ferns.

I wanted to respond with this because the photo is from the same shoot. I thought about the fern-deep time connection too. That fern is in the middle of the ‘in’ and ‘o’ is why the album title spoke to me initially.

One time in the woods, after eating mushrooms, I ran my finger along the side of a fern. The leaves vibrated against each other in a way that instantly triggered the sound of Oscar See Through Red Eye playing in my mind.

Heehee. :) No obvious signs of any ferns in the artwork, but that does not mean that leafy greens are not a central aspect of the album's conceptual inner life.

I mean, this is a birthday present for me and Monday is technically my birthday...which is pretty cool either way, but I wanted the goods on release daaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy

That's amazing!! Kane must be over the moon to get a new BoC track on the soundtrack. He is a noted huge fan. And it really isn't that unbelievable for this to happen - A24 is behind the production and they got the ca$h and connections I'm sure to facilitate it. I wouldn't even be surprised if it's some mutual admiration happening, cos I have always thought that BoC would love what he did with Backrooms on YT.

What!

I was totally going to ignore this film as I find the whole concept of the backrooms to be a bit silly and Kanes work didn't really hit me except for the mall one... But... now this has really peaked my interest!
